and one more thing. Tomorrow morning or even late tonite, we will be talking about either how this Ranger team was too passive of a roster or the thing that will probably get this team in to the finals.

All year long, many of us..me leading the way..have bitched about this teams passive roster. If we had played the Bruins, I really believe this roster would finally be exposed..but we ended up with the Habs.

Because of that, got to admit that Im wrong. This roster is filled with a bunch of mentally tough guys that do not need to drop gloves all the time. Most teams like that get exposed as pussies. Ranger fans have had enough of those teams over the past decades. This team..well...its different. They are one of the few teams I can remember that just don't need to drop gloves to show its toughness. They actually look good the way the walk away and not respond. They will stick a glove in someones face way too long to show they are not intimidated...although will not fight for the most part.

It is a mentally tough group that is different then many teams I can remember. Smart...rarely hurts themselves in the penalty box..not my total cup of coffee but it seems to have worked.

That's why I have a problem seeing how this could turn into a blood bath because the Rangers just do not have enough guys to play like that. One guy I would love to see drop the gloves a guy is the defenseman Moore. He had that one fight during the season where he destroyed the guy and had another that he was ready to and it was broken up. So, if needed, he is a guy to watch.

wouldn't go that far, wasn't really in the clear....he just knifed right between them, but yes either way, it's clear from the video what happened and anyone saying otherwise is delusional/emotional or has an agenda.

He split the defenders and was in alone.

Penalty shot was the right call. Rare this time of year, though.

My guy who is a very good fighter but should play with more of an edge is Kevin Klein

what's funny is that Prust calling Kreider out like he did......Prust hasn't moved that fast in his career, thus doesn't know what's it's like to gett tripped up while going at that speed "We know how to fall in this league" lol, yeah right. the only thing Kreider is guilty of is being strong on his skates otherwise he would've wiped out immediately and not even gotten a shot off. I'm sure flying into the goalie and goal post felt pretty good.

lol...the we know how to fall in this league was a very funny one. I took another look at it after reading Prusts line because I have no idea how to look for falling the right way. That was a good one.

As far as Prust, I totally agree. I remember watching the Rangers play them last year, the first year Prust played for them after the Rangers and thought he was so damn passive against the Rangers...figuring the whole friend thing and he liked the guys he played for. To me yesterday, Prust looked like a guy trying to change the tempo of things going bad...probably the reason he was signed by the Canadiens...and was awful at it..horrible. I liked Prust with the Rangers. Back then, he would fight any fight and had the potential to score a goal or 2. He looks like a thug now.

The Rangers had a few chances to hit Subban and did not. Boyle on several occasions went after him with the puck in his end and pulled back and skated away. Thought maybe it was a Ranger thing to not stir him up. He looks like such an incredible raw talent to me. RAW being the key. The announcer said several times, what a rare mishap he had giving the puck away leading to a Ranger goal but it seems if you can pressure him in his own end..he does that a lot. Just goes so fast and out of control sometimes.

But the guy can cut up pressure with the puck. Amazing talent. Im sure he will hit all that moves tonight..and hopefully ends up in the penalty box tonight.

Watching the play i'm just glad Kreids didn't hit the post and break his leg, like Bill Clement did in '74, when Jerry butler tripped him...

yeah discipline is key tonight (Dorsett, Pouliot, I'm looking at you!). Yeah Subban can go either way, his emotions can propel him or cause him to do stupid things. It was the former against the Bruins, hopefully it works against him this series. He had a pretty sick shift there in the second period when Hank robbed him....he scores there and it's probably a different game completely. He also screwed up a few times on d and the puck wound up in the net (The Richards goal come to mind).

Yzerman tore up his knee in '88 in the same fashion. IIRC, the posts had no give back then.

no way haha the whole forum?, how long? I got a infraction on the general board because those fucking debbies fans came on to attack the Rangers "Rags" after the Price news broke. I got a infraction for calling them "Debbies". Apparently that is trolling and sexist.

screw them GG..and the media too..here from yahoo sports:

    http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-p...l-game-1-collision-vs--rangers-155539784.html

His last line..wouldn't want to be Kreider tonight...ewwwww....scary...maybe A.V. should sit him out of fear? Its so irresponsible to have media members and coaches say reckless things.

How about the Canadien coach saying first that it was 100 percent NOT on purpose and then say this today:
Looking at the incident, it’s a reckless play. That’s the truth,” Therrien said. “And Kreider, this is not the first time he’s going at goalies. So, we end up losing our best player, but our group faced a lot of adversity throughout the course of the season and we responded and we’ve got the attitude to respond really well. And this is what I’m expecting starting tonight

This cracks me up..cracks me up. Even if you feel that way, Cardinal sin number 1 is that you never SAY IT out loud. They have just set themselves for 2 things tonight.

    1. If they decide to follow up on their public comments, they will end up in the penalty box.
    2. If they try to play it smart, they will end up like a bunch of pussies for being all talk.

So, the best thing to come out of this is Kreider just gets forced into being more and more mentally tough and this will just make him a tougher player..which is a transformation that began last year. Something this teams needs badly to go with all the talent the kid has already. Lets see how he plays tonight.

You really try to look at this if the shoe was on the other foot...that's the key..and most of us can honestly say that there is NO WAY we would be freaking out if that collision was against HL under the very same circumstances..and Im sure when the attempt is made tonight...AND IT WILL...it will not under the same circumstances.

Thinking long about this, cant see any other way they get their true retaliation unless they somehow go after HL.
