There's no determining how strong the schedule is at this point. Strong teams will always slump and injuries happen. For all we know, Peyton Manning won't even be playing by the time Denver comes up on the schedule.

My mantra is to be the best U have to beat the best which means that if we have a "stronger" schedule as many of the cry babies are stating then our players & coaches just have to get better to overcome those stronger teams:mad:

A lot of people thought last year's schedule was strong before the season started. Turned out it wasn't.

U can forget about 15 cause we have a new HC & he will cut many of the present players that the new HC considers deadwood:mad:

Thanks for answering. And no, the Jets have never won a Super Bowl in my lifetime.

Have you ever considered not paying close attention to football?

Anybody who picked 12-4 or 6-10 needs serious help.

Jets WILL win Superbowl 50, however, and NYC will never forget it. It will be the perfect time to make our mark on such an historic event. I do see us at 9-7 or 10-6 this year making the playoffs, but we won't have enough experience to do any real playoff damage until the following year for SB50! The only problem is Champ might not survive that long! He's pushing like 80 now right? I could see him reaching the pearly gates and being like, "Hey God! You know that you are 1-49 at bringing the VLT to NY area!"

I could see this happening, in the 2015 offseason we extend Mo, and won't lose any core guys. Before FA, the roster would look like:

    QB: Geno Smith, Tahj Boyd
    RB: Chris Ivory, Chris Johnson
    FB: Tommy Bohanon
    TE: Jace Amaro, Jeff Cumberland
WR: Eric Decker, Stephen Hill, Jalen Saunders, Shaq Evans, Quincy Enunwa
    LT: D'Brickashaw Ferguson
    LG: Brian Winters, Will Campbell
    C: Nick Mangold
    RG: Dakota Dozier
    RT: Breno Giacomini, Oday Aboushi

    LE: Muhammad Wilkerson
    NT: Damon Harrison (RFA)
    RE: Sheldon Richardson
    LOLB: Calvin Pace, Trevor Riley
    ILB: DeMario Davis
    ILB: Jeremiah George
    ROLB: Quinton Coples, IK Enemkpala
CB: Dee Milliner, Dexter McDougle, Darrin Walls, Ellis Lankster
S: Calvin Pryor, Antonio Allen, Josh Bush

The major guys who are leaving in FA would be David Harris, Kenrick Ellis, Bilal Powell, Jeremy Kerley, Dawan Landry, Willie Colon, Antwan Barnes, and Dimitri Patterson. We have guys that will likely be able to step in for most of those guys, but I think relying on Jeremiah George to take over starting is probably not going to happen. We'll either sign Harris back to a 1 year deal or look for another low cost FA ILB I imagine. I also wouldn't be at all surprised by cutting Calvin Pace, so we'll need an OLB in some shape or form. We hit the draft and continue to infuse youth at the O-Line positions, and probably draft another D-Lineman. I don't see any other major holes though, which is why I think we will be prepared to make a run for the Super Bowl in 2015. I could definitely see us going O-Line in the first round of the 2015 draft.

I don't get your love affair with Stephen Hill. I can see David Harris re signed far more believably than I can see Hill remaining on this team next season, and I think Harris is close to gone.

Well I'm watching the 2013 season from start to finish right now, and I'll give my thoughts after. All I know is he had a solid game against Tampa and got absolutely rocked by Dashon Goldson which is when he first injured his ribs, and then didn't play much at all week 2 against the Patriots, plus Geno had a really bad game as he was harassed by Belichick's defense. He had basically a breakout game against the Bills in week 3, but in week 4 vs Tennessee Michael Griffin destroyed him on the first play from scrimmage and he didn't return to the game at all, and it was a direct helmet to the chest. Week 5 vs Atlanta Mornhinweg called a very conservative run heavy game, plus he featured Jeff Cumberland and Kellen Winslow in the receiving game to take advantage of the bad safeties, but he came up really big in the final game winning drive. I just started week 6 vs the Steelers but I know shortly he takes a massive hit to the chest from Polamalu, so honestly Hill has looked really good to me so far, but Geno seems to like to throw him into oncoming safeties a lot.

At this point I'm already all the way through the first 5 games and I don't feel like going back to do that, but I'll give you the info I can remember. In week 1, Geno is just experiencing his first NFL defense and looks a bit lost. The Bucs' secondary is pretty beastly, Dashon Goldson knocks Cumberland out of the game for a while, shortly after Mark Barron knocks Kerley out, and then a bit later Goldson rocks Hill. They were basically picking off our receivers one by one, but since Revis was guarding 1 side that funneled passes towards the middle. I think the two safeties had a lot of fine money to pay out after that game. Holmes was still coming back slowly then as well, and Revis was covering him. That basically left Clyde Gates and Kellen Winslow as our top receiving options, and Winslow actually made a couple nice plays. Hill did return, and totaled 6 catches for 39 yards that game.

Week 2 he played sparingly, and Belichick harassed Geno pretty good that day. It was also really rainy (that was the Thursday night game) and receivers on both sides were dropping a lot of balls and there were a lot of fumbles. Hill ran some nice routes when he was in and totaled 4 catches for 84 yards, but he had one fumble when McCourty's foot swung up and kicked the ball out of his hand. He should have been securing the ball better but it was a bit of a freaky play. That was his first reception of the night and he shook it off to make a couple nice plays.

Week 3 vs the Bills we were running it on them like no tomorrow, they couldn't keep us contained at all. Early on, we just pounded the ball and they couldn't stop us. That opened up the passing game, and Hill took advantage of his opportunities with 3 receptions for 108 yards and a TD. His touchdown catch was a really nice double move for 51 yards. He was playing great and could have caught a lot more balls but we were killing him on the ground, I think Powell had 159 yards and 2 TDs that game.

Week 4, we started on offense. The very first play from scrimmage Hill ran a nice route and a well thrown ball would have been an 80 yard touchdown. Verner had outside coverage and Geno looked off Griffin, the single high safety. Unfortunately Geno threw a duck, a badly under thrown flutterer that there was no way Hill could come back to. Verner undercut it and picked it off, and as Hill slowed up to pursue Verner Griffin flew up and put his helmet right on his ribs. Hill was on the ground for a while and din't return at all. Geno proceeded to have another pick and two fumbles, and an all around bad day.

Week 5 Marty called a very conservative game with primarily running plays. Geno had a nice game with good decisions. We weren't on the field a ton offensively because we had pretty good field position due to run backs and a strip sack by Mo. Their safeties were getting beaten up by our receiving TE's, as Cumberland had like 80 yards and 2 TDs, and Winslow had a TD as well. Hill was not a featured part of the offense that night, and only had 2 catches for 21 yards but both were on the game winning drive for first downs, and he made some guys miss and broke some tackles.

I'll add more as I finish watching.

I agree, and the funny thing is that quite a bit of people thought we had a lot of money to spend this year. They will be pleasantly surprised to see that next year we should have just as much, maybe even more. We should have enough to pay Wilks, Harrison and Harris as well as bring in that "put us over the top" guy. I'm probably being too optimistic and a lot of it depends on some young guys becoming solid contributors.

I also agree about Hill that it's definitely not over yet. He's had a rough couple first years. He at the very least gets this year to prove himself unless the rookies drastically outperform him in camp.

Actually, don't worry about noting times. I have enough downtime available, I'll start from game one.
