It does make sense that it would be monster vs monster, the history of Godzilla went from him trashing Tokyo to being its savior and protecting it from other monsters. These clips look awesome.
It would be really something if they put the band back together. Godzilla, Rodan, Mothra, Ghidorah, Gamera..(Sp?) Maybe they even bring back King Kong for an epic battle.
I thought the claw in one of the clips looked like the monster in clover field. But it may be they had Rodan in a cryogenic state.
Is it gonna have the 3 headed dragon, monster 0, or king... Something or whatever the fuck it's name was? I think that was always Godzilla's biggest enemy. I just remember him being the last monster u had to battle in the nes godzilla game.
Ghidorah. And yes, I think it's in it. Look at the Asian trailer above and you can see it flying. It was a flying three headed monster. At comic con, they asked the director if any other monsters would be in it and he smiled and said you'll have to wait and see. The trailer shows it flying
Dont think these monsters are called Rodan or Mothra...Just MUTO's. Something about naming rights wont allow them to use those.
Yep. Exactly right. Toho studios retained the rights to all characters except Godzilla. The new monsters are referred to as M.U.T.O.'s. (Massive Unidentified Terrestial Organisms)
I think I've managed to talk my daughter into this being the best thing to go see on Saturday for her birthday.
Just saw it...My goodness, they really put some good effort into the acting and storyline here such as Bryan Cranston, Ken Watanabe, Aaron Johnson, the guy who is the Admiral...Also, the director really teases you Godzilla and then BAM the payoff is amazing. The effects and movement of Godzilla during his action scenes are terrific it feels natural. I love this fat Godzilla, he was so beast and owning ass out there...The crowd was going nuts at a few parts.... And I dare anyone to hold back their goosebumps when Godzilla roars like fucking boss he is. Anyone else get them?
