1985s whole "logic" that Geno was a better prospect is because HE thinks and hopes he was a better prospect.

He tried to argue that Geno was MORE accurate but in Genos full 3 years he was actually LESS accurate. Negligible percentage points but nonetheless Manziel was more accurate (some idiot tried to suggest Genos one better year is somehow more important but ignores his other 2 years where he was actually a bit worse). He tried to argue that Geno was MORE productive but decided to completely ignore touchdowns he doesn't count as touchdowns. On average, Manziel scored a lot more points than Geno. He points to yardage as somehow something relevant and again ignores rushing yardages that conveniently doesn't fit his narrative. Fails to point out Manziels higher YPA but that apparently doesn't fit his stats radar. He ignores the massive difference between the SEC and the Big East/Big 12.

Basically he thinks Geno was a better prospect than Manziel (and a Big Ben close) because...he thinks he was a better prospect.

While no other objective fan (other than a Gemo fan) thinks so.

    That sums up this thread.

That was after folks here decided to change the narrative. Production is TDs not a lot of yards or lower completion percentage.

The SEC is the best conference in college football. Johnny Manziel had the 2 most productive seasons in the history of the conference statistically.

Stats don't mean everything, and Geno was also ridiculously productive. But Manziel was the most productive college QB I've ever seen, given his context as both an underclassman and as a SEC QB.

Most of us were encouraged by Geno's strong finish. But let's face it he had one of the worst stretches statistically of any Qb in NFL history incl. Mark. When his QBR was around 10. So if you had knowledge of his total performance for 2014 I assume he probably would have again gone in round 2. Also he started his rookie year. When most Qbs over the years have had a chance to acclimate to the job. And basically the rule of thumb has been it takes at least a dozen starts before a Qb knows what he is doing and the game slows down for them. As for Manziel. He's better than Geno. The only thing is do you have to create a special offense around him to accentuate his talents. Or can he plug into a standard NFL offense. I think he'll be pretty good and end up starting for the Browns over Hoyer.

Geno would have gone #1 overall.

Nah, but in reality I feel that Bridgewater will have the better career of the bunch.
