Oh, he went on that spree. I mentioned the Bulls because after doing that whole Wizards are going to make noise, he fell into his own trap and picked Bulls over Wizards. The Wizards won, giving him his dream Pacers/Wizards matchup saying Wizards in 6 so even if the Wizards win 3 in a row he managed to be completely wrong by saying the Wizards will make noise, picking the Bulls, and now picking Wizards in 6.

I didn't say just winning game 1. And the 2001 Lakers that were on a 11 game playoff win streak heading into the finals and losing game 1 is a lot different than the Pacers coming off a two month slump and a 7 game series vs the 8 seed and losing game 1.

They also had leads late in two games. That means they had a shot to me. I also didn't just say the Wizards choked. I mentioned the Pacers play improving in addition to the Wizards choking/making mistakes. Again, you can say they were never beating Ind, I could agree with that. But they had a shot. Not having a shot is Portland vs SAS where I think Portland led for less than a minute in the first 3 games of the series. The Wizards had a shot, they just didn't convert and execute well enough to take advantage against a Pacers team that was 4-4 in the playoffs at that point.

And the final mistake last game for Washington was the "inexperienced" Trevor Ariza. Only some of the Wizards are inexperienced, not the whole team. It's an easy statement because of Wall and Beal playing big minutes, but Andre Miller, Al Harrington, Nene, Ariza, and Gooden are all old players on that team. You could even throw Gortat with playoff experience and I think finals experience. The Wizards just weren't a great team. Beal and Nene stepped up big time and Nene handling Noah was a big surprise in the first series against CHI. Then this second series, IND, specifically Hibbert, looked involved in the game unlike Atlanta. Also, Nene came back down to earth for a bit. I think 8-30 over the last two games.

But they had a shot, they won game 1, missed open shots in game 2 to win, got dominated in game 3, and blew a lead in game 4. That to me is having a shot. They just aren't a great team which I think we agree on. The East is severely weak and watered down.

    Sorry for the rant :)

The inexperienced statement is a pet peeve of mine because of TNT studios. Washington won game 1 and TNT went on, "you know these guys are not inexperienced, they have so and so who have done so and so". Now Washington loses 3 in a row, "this team is inexperienced, wall and beal are young" . And then Toronto lost their series because they were "inexperienced", but it was Brooklyn's experienced team that blew a late game lead even giving TOR a chance to win game 7 in the final seconds.

Experience and inexperience can explain things, but it isn't the end all separation between two teams and way too simple answer that is use on TV

Im sorry but, in the grand scheme of things, if the Wiz lose 4-1, that is called not having a shot for me. Portland just won, they got a shot? :D

Yes we do agree that the Wiz are not a strong team. I would not mind if the Wiz pulled off a miracle upset to win this series, only because i hate the Pacers.

All Knicks fans are in a shitty situation. I want the Pacers to lose now, but if they lose, Miami will have a cake walk into the finals (barely being challenged). But then again, I also don't want the Miami heat to get to the finals. So ideally, the Heat and Pacers will battle (hopefully to 7 games). And then one of the west teams will take out LeBron. lol

I explained Portland in my post! :p

I'm rooting for the winner of the Clippers/Thunder series to win the whole thing. If it can't be them, then a WC team

    Yeah buddy!!!

Love that it's the later game :) I get home from work usually at around 8:30, so the 8 o'clock or 7 o'clock games I miss the opening.

We are going to find out a lot about Chris Paul tonight. This is LA's only chance to win in OKC again, I cannot see them winning a game 7 there.

I'm calling Indiana tonight to end the series and I'm calling OKC over LA.

WCF will be OKC vs. San Antonio. OKC wins.

ECF will be Indiana vs. Miami. Indiana wins.

Finals will be OKC vs. Indiana. OKC wins it all.

I think the way OKC is playing, they will win the West and I think with Hibbert back, Indiana beats Miami in 7.

I got 50 bucks on the Clippers making the NBA finals, they will beat the Thunder (though I want the Thunder to win) AND the Spurs.

    Heat - Clippers NBA finals

That would be Epic and in that case, I can't see Miami beating the Clippers. If Miami was in the West, they would never make the finals this year. No way.

I do think OKC beats the Clippers though. I can't see OKC losing at home.

Deep down I want the Thunder to win the NBA Title, but that 50 bucks is bragging rights.

Whoever wins game 5 wins about 80% of the time - it's going to be an excellent game tonight

Your ship is already gone. Twice. First you picked against the Wizards in the 1st round and then you went Wizards in 6 which is impossible now. :)
