No! We don't need another QB who needs time to develop! 2/3 of our QB's already need time to develop!
Not McArron he's a whiny bitch. I don't love what I see on tape from Mettebberger but I don't like McArron's attitude.
Below average speed for a WR. On the weak end. Agility not very good. Mediocre prospect all around. Very underwhelming pick. STRENGTHS Good size. Good enough hands -- catches balls that he should and makes hard catches look easy, yet drops easy catches. Extends outside his frame for the ball and can pluck it. Competes in a crowd and can make contested catches. WEAKNESSES Average production. Lacks top-end burst, acceleration and long speed. Does not threaten the field vertically. Soft-tempered blocker. Displays little creativity after the catch. Struggles to shake tight man coverage and create separation.
There have been how many drafts now? And people still feel like they can get a read on a 4th round prospect through some words in a scouting report? Foolish. How about we see how they perform before we deem them mediocre or underwhelming.
I like Saunders. But Shaq looks like a stiff possession receiver with no burst and no open field moves.
Did you make those strengths and weaknesses or did a pro writer actually do that? What does catches balls he should yet drops easy catches mean. Also why is drops easy catches under strengths?
Lol. So funny. I've been accussed of being a pom pom waving sunshiner to darksider to everything in between. I like the players I like and I don't like the players I don't like. Not my problem you've only read my last ten posts.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap20...york-jets-draft-jalen-saunders-and-shaq-evans The bolded is all I needed to read to be sold on this pick. We desperately lacked a "go up and get it" type of receiver. We don't have one of those. We thought it was Stephen Hill, but it hasn't been.
4.4 is kinda the norm nowadays. I know we are nitpicking but that's what all this is about. the difference between a 4.3 and a 4.5 on the field is huge.
Despite the poor prognosis, i watched this kid at UCLA, and he played pretty well. There's a chance he could do something in the pros.
He had the fastest 10 y split at the combine and clocked a 4.4 at his pro day (Mora claims he has clocked him at 4.32). Slow he is not...
