Yeah, I thought we should have signed him too. He looked good on film but I guess they didn't think we needed another tall receiver. Saints got 2 guys I really wanted in Coleman and Zimmerman They really went hard on the safety position this offseason.
A guy I wanted to draft and I'm frankly surprised wasn't is Shane Skov the LB from Stanford. He was a defensive star in college but probably not taken because of injuries. He is going to sign with the 49ers as a UFA.
Crap. That makes two wideouts the Saints grabbed that I was really hoping we'd land (Cooks and Coleman).
Did anyone sign CB Roberson or S Dixon? I was surprised those guys didn't get drafted, especially Roberson, who was supposed to go in the 2nd round! ....just saw the Cowboys took Dixon after we picked in the 7th round. He could be a steal a la Antonio Allen.
Lyerla won't get signed by anyone. The guy is a total waste of space, and his talent isn't worth developing.
Kinda surprised Brett Smith didn't get drafted late. Good pick up by TB. Jordan Lynch to the Bears. Hope he becomes a player, like that kid. _
Totally agree here. If Roberson or Victor Hampton aren't brought in, I certainly can't explain it. What is the down side at this point to bring in 2 CBs that had mid-round grades that went un-drafted because of off-field/character issues?
Someone on the Jets subreddit posted this video about our new fullback Chad Young. Rex and Idzik sure like guys that can break bones just with their stares.
I just looked and it looks like none of the top 3 punters have signed yet. I'm really really hoping the Jets get at least one of the top two punters in to camp and at least one of either Hampton or Roberson at CB Usually though when players are signed immediately after the draft it's because teams and players have already "pre-agreed" to something in case the player went undrafted.
