Little johnny is no way gonna make Pro NFL Lineman look stupid like in school. vick is still faster then him and has a rocket arm. Just gets hurt tomuch.

 

I am happy with this pick. (FINALLY). George was one of the top ILB in this class (albeit a weak class).

 

Yes, I think this issue is a bit overlooked. I hope everyone realizes how much of the house is riding on Geno/Vick. IMO we missed the boat not getting Jimmie G. but that's water under the bridge. I like the Simms family but are you OK with Matt as insurance policy??
In another scenario, what if Geno is an interception machine and gets benched again. Vick takes over with a 4-5 game winning streak, verge of playoffs, and gets injured. Do you rely on Geno again, put in Simms, or go look for a QB under the Brooklyn Bridge??Playground etc.

 

QB/DB/RB in the 6th let's go

 

Everyone is waiting for the next run of QBs. No one wants to start that run though, which is great!

 

I think we end up picking Tajh Boyd with one of our 6th round picks, even though I'd much prefer Mettenberger, AJ, Murray, or even Fales. .

The Jets seem to be using some kind of metrics that don't seem to be in line with conventional thinking, don't know:-( I think we are going to need to see what last years group does this year. If its messy like last year "then" I'll start pointing fingers at Idzick till then I'll remain cautiously optimistic.

 

Watching videos of George, can't say I'm too impressed. Could've easily taken him in the 6th, if not the 7th.

 

Yup. But he'd still be a great developmental guy. Same offense as Geno/Vick.

If I remember correctly you think McCarron, Murray, Mettenberger, and Boyd are all better than Geno correct?

 

George was projected as a 7th or UFA.

He's undersized and slow, runs a 4.83.

Mettenberger and aaron Murray were still on the board.

very strange that we may go the entire draft having 12 picks and didn't move up or back once. Its not necessary but just seems very strange that we are just sitting there waiting for the draft to come to us every round?

 

Really can't see the decent QBs remaining on the board for, what, another 35 picks?

 

I know. I'm not mad about it, I just thought we would have at least moved once.
