They basically threw on the other side from this guy and I think his lone low-light here was a missed tackle. This was some kind of a beating.
does this pick really confirm that too you? I'm not sure theres a defense first philosophy actually present based on this draft, things have just turned up that way because of how things have fallen. I don't think they deliberately ignore the WR position or something, they just didn't think any WR available at 18, 49 or 80 was worth it over who they chose. when it comes to trading up they needed a dance partner in addition to a pick worth doing it over. they had the latter but evidently not the former, things aren't so simple when it comes to who they choose.
You are clueless, you don't have an opinion of your own. You can not have an opinion because all you rely on is the perception of the media. You do realize that they are more wrong than right, right? So your logic is... If the media says it, it must be true. Let me get behind the guys that have no inside source of the team, that get more things wrong than right? Is that your logic? Again, I will trust the actual team over any media bullshit that is spewed in the world. They do not have a fucking clue in comparison. I'm sure you were so fucking mad about the Sheldon Richardson pick. It was such a bad pick by the Jets, where the fuck does he fit in? He will fail... yada, yada, yada.. Media got that one right to, right? I don't think you even realize how pathetic your argument is. At least I have actually watch game tape of the terrible pick of ours in the third round. Maybe you should at least go contribute to that part of the world before you talk out of your ass for several hours at a time.
There were a couple guys I liked that went after McDougle, namely Gabe Jackson, Dri Archer and Donte Moncrief. But most of the CBs people preferred over Dexter are still on the board. He seems like a competitive kid with good athleticism and ball skills in a man-to-man defense. I like all those traits. No idea if he'll work out or not, but I like the player. Was it a little early? Maybe but there are a lot of guys who went in the 3rd that people thought would go way later. Every player is flawed at this point of the draft, which is why there's often a wide range of opinions.
You're dealing with some stubborn nonsensical fans. Pay em no mind really bc this type of rhetoric is just painfully ignorant.
here is a nice article posted a couple days ago about this kid. http://www.testudotimes.com/2014/5/7/5685792/nfl-draft-2014-dexter-mcdougle-maryland
he has pretty low metric scores though. that worries me. he scored a low 3. most players that become good in the NFL score at least a 7 to 8. plus injury history. the argument is we all believe this guy would be available in the 4th or 5th. add all these up, regardless of if he's good or not, the pick where it was made was a real reach.
what makes that 7th round receiver a pro bowl is a 1st round franchise qb. can geno do that with a 7th rounder?
This is actually a really good question. I intually thought WTF who is this? Then I looked into it and he seems like a good kid that would've went 2 or 3rd if healthy. But was he really the BPA?
I like the pick alot. He's got good ball skills and he can stop the run. Him and Milliner could be a good combo with Pryor ending careers over the middle.
