Lol. Wait, you were in middle school? GFY I already one kid and one on the way. The first Gulf War. Good times. _
I'm hoping for one of these players... Martavis Bryant, Clemson, WR Jarred Abbrederis, Wisconsin, WR Shayne Skov - Stanford, OLB/ILB Cyril Richardson, Baylor, G T.J. Jones - WR - Notre Dame Bruce Ellington - WR, South Carolina Tajh Boyd, QB, Clemson
This is where u choose projects Martavis Bryant should go right here, along with Yankey maybe another corner in Desir or double up on WR with Herron or Abbrederis
Wouldn't mind double dipping at WR in this round. Abberderis and either Coleman/Herron/Jones or even Bryant.
what about Breeland CB from Clemson? I see McDougle as eventual (if not sooner) replacement for Kyle Wilson. Breeland could be that eventual replacement for Cromartie. might have some maturity issues. trouble with law, and some off field concerns about professionalism. in round 4, might be worth a shot. I also like taking chance on Savage or Mettenberger.
Robert Herron Matt Hazel Jeff Janis Jeremy Gallon Marqueston Huff Aaron Colvin (with the Jets having many picks this year, they can afford to redshirt Colvin)
I like West the most (reminds me of Curt Warner and Curtis Martin) , but I didn't study these guys in depth. Anyway, I don't see a reason to draft a running back. The Jets have three (Ivory, Johnson, Powell). Teams do not use four running backs unless there is an injury. The Jets are not going to dress four tailbacks.
Can someone tell me why Kevin Norwood is not worth selecting? Why is nobody even bringing him up as a possibility. Seems like a solid possession guy, can be a safety outlet, reliable hands (I think), solid build, and a good locker room presence. Dude may be old, but he already has his Masters, for crissakes.
Larry Webster DE/TE basketball convert that has actually visited with the Jets. He's a freaky athlete for his size (6'6", 250) but has only been playing football for 2-3 years. His dad is the Larry Webster that used to play in the NFL, and Rex was actually his defensive line coach on the Super Bowl champion Ravens team. http://nfldraftdiamonds.com/diamond-in-the-rough-de-larry-webster-bloomsburg/
So I think the fourth might be a little high, but I think Colvin is a guy who we should really look at. His college career was outstanding, and he was consistently noted as being among the best cornerbacks in college football. He was a first or second round pick, but he tore his ACL at the senior bowl. He may not be ready for the 2014 season. It's a huge gamble but it very well could pay off
Hey Johnny / Rex, if you're not serious about drafting a receiver, offer a 6th to the Jags for Justin Blackmon http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/7402/justin-blackmon There's a chance he could be reinstated this year.
