Idzik drafted the best player in the NFL draft last year and that was Shelden Richardson. I trust Idzik with his choices...The man has not made an embarrassment of our picks either
We signed Decker, CJ, Jacoby Ford, drafted a pass catching TE, seriously what is wrong with some of you.
Seems like a reach but if the kid pans out who cares? We've picked a lot worse in the 2nd and 3rd rounds in the past. See below. 2nd Round Jets busts Vlad Ducasse Doug Jolley John Hall (not a bust but a reach) Kellen Clemens Stephen Hill Justin Miller John McGraw 3rd Round Jets busts Shonn Greene Anthony Schlegel Eric Smith (journeyman not a bust)
Love the response--Exactly what Rich Kotite said on ESPN when asked why they took Brady over Sapp ("Well, we still have several picks left."). Whenever somebody can't justify a reach like this, just remind 'em that we pick again in the next round ("if the one we like is still available). Brilliant!
You forgot taking Mike Nugent in round 2....nevermind that he was a kicker, he's a mediocre one who can't even get a touchback.
I swear the Same Old Jets fans mentality... Are relieving the past now? We traveling back to 1995? Round 1? Comparing dudes in top 10 to someone in the late third round? Brilliant!
Even a ton of Maryland fans are saying on their boards that McDougle would most likely be a 5th round or later pick. Idzik could've gotten him much later and addressed WR with Ellington or Bryant there.
Makes sense--since we've picked poorly several times in the 3rd round in the past, why not pick another nobody? Yeah.
I don't get your point, we are light years ahead of where we were last year offensively yet the bitching and moaning persists, shits starting to get annoying.
Yep... All that and they will still suit up in September with the worst WR corps in the NFL for the 3rd year in a row. And Jacoby ford? Seriously?
No.. Those teams in the 90's could score points. This version of the Jets is closer to the 2000 Ravens minus the talent.
