After the best day possible for the browns this could be the worst day possible. Gordon just can't seem to stay off the dope. Very happy we didn't waste a pick on him. @NFLonFOX: DEVELOPING: Browns WR Josh Gordon could face a season-long suspension after second failed drug test. (per ESPN report)
That's because he IS a dope of the highest order. He and Justin Blackmon would be great receivers for Paul Crewe.
Saw that one coming. Gordon needs to get help. No matter how harmless something is, if you screw up your life this badly to get it, you have a problem.
Sucks they couldn't make that happen. Overall I still think they got a heck of deal. They'll have a guaranteed top 15 pick from Buffalo next year.
How fucking hard is it to not smoke weed for a few years while you're making millions of dollars?? It's not heroin, it's fucking weed. Weed's about as addictive as potato chips... So stupid... Edit...oh and they all knew this 2 weeks ago now...guess they're all stupid.
Geezuz. And folks wanted to trade for this guy. Feel bad for Manziel. Thought they were going to take Lee anyway, now it's gotta be a lock. _
If I can pass a piss test 16 hours after last having smoked then there's no excuse why Josh Gordon couldn't. All he had to do was go down to the nearest head shop, spend $50 on a detox drink and he would have been fine.
Wow. What a failure. Right after getting Johnny Football, too. Apparently he failed the test months ago, I wonder why it wasn't big news before. It's only weed though. NFL is too strict with that. It's not like its performance enhancing or gives them an advantage, it's like drinking a beer in your free time. Missing an entire season for weed is absurd to me considering players constantly get DUIs with no suspension time, something that is exponentially worse. Of course that doesn't excuse Gordon, because he knew the rules and should have followed them, especially when he knew one slip up could cost him the season (and possibly his career). Oh well, he'll be really cheap next year when the Jets pick him up.
Browns signed Miles Austin and Earl Bennett today to go with Burleson and Hawkins. That's respectable.
