Now I have had time to think I look at this draft one of two ways..... We are going to trade up to grab a Lee/Matthews Or we will stockpile on players like ASJ, Bashaud Breeland, WR like Latimer etc. and an OL. no one to overhwlem, per se, but I would be happy with a Lee... (good route runner which is perfect for wco)
I totally agree with the Hill comparison though I think Bryant may have ever so slightly better hands.
In fairness bryant has more upside than hill at this point but bryant is not a guy we should go after. Breeland (cb) and Brandon thoma (ot/og)s are the two good clemson players left.
Seems obvious that we need to get receiver and TE, but with Rex obviously having a lot of influence, I expect us to go CB and OLB and completely ignore offense again.
If the gt linebacker is there there's a good chance we take him if he's the bpa and there's a runoff on receivers before we pick. Also we brought in Demarcus Lawrence for a visit

Thanks for posting, I was way off lol IMO the only teams in front of us that could go WR are TENN, PITT, and BAL. Maybe just trade our 4th from Tampa to Minny to get to 40? EDIT: forgot they traded it to SEA so idk maybe they trade again I doubt it. Looks like we'll probably stay put and just take whoever. Who knows, maybe Lees stock really plummeted based off last year

Would anyone be pissed if we took a first round graded lineman like Xavier or Cyrus? Seems like jets never pick the consensus expectations for a position
i wouldn't mind one bit. really like the big Samoan (can't spell name). otherwise, versatility to play a number of line spots would be key.
