Yes. Either would have been better. But Cooks and Manziel were the BPA at 18. I honestly don't know who else came close to them.
I'm torn about it. I like Lee a lot but maybe we could get more value trading up the 3rd for ASJ and another WR with a chance to get another guard after that.
He probably was on the Jets' board, I mean you have to take into account scheme when you grade prospects.
I'd be skeptical if the Pats didn't have such a good record for drafting DL. If it was a CB or WR I'd be a lot more worried.
I always liked Pryor more than Haha. I think he has better instincts, and a better hitter. Also, he fits our scheme more as well. I was down between Cooks, Pryor, Dix, and Dennard. Clearly Rex and the brass thought Pryor was a better DB than Dix and Dennard (and I trust Rex on defense). Keep in mind, the safety depth in this class isn't great, while the CB/WR depth is.
That what we said about Kris Jenkins and well. Only Easley has a better work ethic I figure but you get the point buddy.
Think a big receiver in the 2nd. Moncrief, Matthews, Adams, Latimer, lots of good sized guys right in a row. Lee and Robinson will go before that plus a couple of the 4 listed.
High risk high reward pick for the Pats, if he stays healthy with Revis and Browner playing press man on the outside and Chandler Jones off the edge, now that's some scary shit.
Well we all know the script. Lee somehow falls all the way to our 2nd pick. And we pick someone else.
