Per Schefter Jets looking to trade up.

Here is a real off the wall scenario but what are the chances that the Jets think Johnny football makes it to 11 and that's who they are targeting to trade up for?

 

Get ready for another CB...crap. As much as I try to rationalize it I can't bring myself to endorse it. Another 1st round corner. F it.

 

Jets will stay put and select Dennard with #18. They need a CB more then a WR. We got Nelson, Decker, Kerley and they are banking on Hill having a good year. Well pick up some WR's later in the rounds.

edit: oh yeah and we have Ford.

 

I've seen that scenario at least three times today. And the chances don't seem that likely to me.

 

Idzik hinted at possibly trading up last week. And if he does, I believe he'd move up 4-6 spots to get his DB or S.

Then he'll sit back in the 2nd round watching the WRs fall, and possibly trade up again to get his WR.

 

I know a CB makes sense but it doesn't stop it being fucking mind-numbingly dull.

I'd rather us go for a safety.

 

And he is wrong again.

Glad they didn't trade up and make the same mistake the Bills made. I bet it was smokescreen to trick the Bills into trading up for watkins. They knew the Bills intentionally make moves to screw the Jets and they pounced on this one. Jokes on them. Watkins will get injured in TC and Bills have no depth to build around Manuel. Too bad.

Crazy that the Bengals got Dennard though. They are going to be scary.
