https://twitter.com/AdamSchefter/status/464416977755205632 Could they be trying to snag Mike Evans before the Ravens do? Edit: My bad, should have seen this on the draft board already but don't see a delete option.
There's been more chatter today about the Jets interest in Lee. But he might still be available in the 20's. You might be able to trade down to get him.
They "say" Oakland may have Evans rated higher than Watkigs even and I can see why..length...and no way we trade up that high if that is the case.
I'm hearing he might get taken by the Eagles or Chiefs. But then again the draft is such a crapshoot so who knows.
The guy whose a good fit for the Eagles theoretically is Cooks. As a replacement for Jackson. And another Pac 12 player, like Jackson and of course someone well known by Chip Kelly. I think the Eagles might try to trade up to get him over the Jets.
Better bet Philly approaches the Steelahs about trading up for HA HA since Dallas and Baltimore and maybe the Jets would be hot over him.
More than one of these guys are predicting a run on receivers in the first round with as many as 7 or 8 taken..if it looks like that is unfolding all hell will break loose with trades..should be fun.
I'd like to apologize to everyone in advance for the temper tantrum I will throw if we trade up to take a CB.
To get Watkings or Evans, the Jets would need to get really high up there on board, and I seriously doubt they would trade the kind of picks that would require (probably 1st, 2nd, and 3rd or 4th). I think it's more likely, if we trade up, we ll trade up a few spots to somewhere in 11-15 range, which would require us to give up much less, and might help us nab a secondary player we like.
Again if you look at the numbers it could be do-able. Maybe two first rounders and one of our 4th rounds.
Rich Cimini @RichCimini 1m If the Jets trade places with Titans (11), they'd have to give up a 3 and two 4s, according to draft value chart. Steep. #nyj I don't think that's too much for the right guy.
