Wow how can you come close to associating a city in TX with the NYJs. What does one have to do with the other? Now lets see I have been a NYJ fan since 1965 which I think was before you were even born. Actually you should be the one to stop watching the NYJs since you cannot even answer the simplest of the questions which is how long have U been a NYJ fan without seeing them win a SB. Are U embarrassed that the team you have rooted for are losers since U became a fan? I also want to mention that I was not joking when I posted that my son & I can at the very least do no worse then the jackasses that bird brain Woody has hired over his tenure. One other think if you think your snide remarks, or being vile to me, or be nasty to me will force me off the board U can forget about the idea immediately. Now if U want to be on the same page as me become one mean tough pissed NYJ fan since they have done nothing for you since U have been a fan Learn to understand & accept the TRUE HISTORICAL FACTS of the NYJs over Woody's tenure Do not twist the facts to fit your mind set. The facts are the facts no matter if they are good or bad facts & can not be changed Since by now you know my mind set on the NYJs so if U do not like what I post put me on your pass over list or just do not read what I post since U know it will be contrary to your mind set of the NYJs Oh yes I have scheduled this thread to rebound to me in Jan 15 I hope your mind set is prepared to accept another losing season in 2014
So U still think we have drafted well? This was on Twitter today Rich Cimini @RichCimini 3h Since Al Toon in '85, the Jets have drafted 28 WRs. Only 1 has reached the Pro Bowl more than once. #nyj http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/jets/post/_/id/38481/catch-a-rising-star-at-receiver-good-luck…
that info is incorrect #1(close, but incorrect) and what would the way we drafted one position mean in regards to the full drafts?
Are you going to correct it then or just let us guess? (as junc furiously goes through his stats) The number 28 is correct starting in 1987 with Tracy Martin so that's the hard part. Tell us who else was elected to multiple pro bowls besides Keyshawn.
click link for WRs we have drafted: http://www.drafthistory.com/index.php/team-position/jets WRs taken in top 3 rds: 1990 Reggie Rember bust 1990 Rob Moore(sup) mult pro bowler, good player 1994 Ryan Yarborough bust 1996 Keyshawn, multiple pro bowler, excellent player 1996 Alex Van Dyke bust 1997 dedric Ward, decent player 2000 Laveranues Coles, pro bowl caliber player 2001 Santana Moss, pro bowl caliber player 2012 Stephen Hill, bust so far. it's not as bad as it seems
the quote was doesn't say anything about what team they were with. why does it not count when we acquire PBers and when players make PB elsewhere?
no it's not obvious b/c that is not what he said. you can't have it both ways, you can't bash the Jets for not drafting multiple time pro bowlers(as if that means anything anyway) b/c they made it w/ other teams and not count others than came here too. the dig was about the way the Jets draft, it doesn't matter what team they had success with after we drafted them.
If it's really that important to you to twist the facts to make your point go for it. I knew what he meant and so did everybody else that doesn't get off on stats.
Cmon man he meant as a NYJ. BTW I am still awaiting your reply as to how many years U have been a NYJ fan & never seen the NYJs win a SB?
if he did mean that(he didn't write it like that) it is just taking an unnecessary shot at the Jets. the bottom line is he was wrong.
Not really as I noted yesterday, we have drafted some good ones(and brought in a good UDFA), the pro bowl doesn't tell all and many of the "busts" were later round picks. Overall we have drafted well for a long time Know how many have made a single pro bowl that the Giants have drafted since 1986? ONE- Steve Smith how many Pats made a SINGLE PB? 2. neither NYG or NE have had a WR drafted that made multiple PBs(whether for them or someone else). I am sure I can find other examples too.
Well it came from Cimini account on Twitter so if he so wrong why not let him know that via his Twitter account?
I gave you the correct info, you follow him on twitter so why don't you let him know? It's not easy to win a SB but we have made the playoffs at a much higher rate under Woody than the previous 40 years before him. we have been legit SB contenders more often too, hopefully we break through one of these years but it's not like the hess years.
