Barring a trade, vote for your selection and why.

ONLY ONE PLAYER...I DON"T WANT YOUR SECOND CHOICE

Vote for Other if you want to write one in.

Let's see how accurate we are here at TGG.

Cooks. He fits the historical tendencies of Idzik (according to other GMs and people he has worked for) to a tee - highly explosive playmaker - plus he can shoulder a heavy catches load AND is about as competitive, hard-working, and impressive a kid as could be conceived, according to everything I've read on him.

Basically, he checks off every single box and still has an enormous ceiling. It just makes the most sense to me, based on what I've read about both the prospect and the guy making the choice.

    Kyle Fuller.

Receiver class is deep, corner class is not. I think Gilbert and Dennard will both be gone, Fuller next best thing.

+1. I heard DT went to VT's Pro-Day and really liked Fuller.

Without a trade, I think it's Fuller, as I think everyone else on that list is gone besides Cooks and Lee, and I wouldn't be shocked at all if the Eagles or 49'ers leapfrog us to get Cooks.

I'd prefer Dennard, but Fuller has the instincts and the mean streak that fits our D. Would have hated this pick a month ago but I've come around to it enough to not throw a boot through my tv.

Cooks..they won't go defense in the 1st for the 5th year in a row unless Beckham, Cooks, Lee and Ebron are all off the board when they pick (and you specified at 18 which is a whole different poll). Even then they may do their best to trade down before going defense.

Deep down I think Marquise Lee is the pick. Everyone else is either combine mover or just 1 season or less. 2 years ago Lee would be top 5 getting him at 18 is robbery. He had bad QB play last year, coach got fired mid season.

I'm thinking it's Lee. They've shown insane amounts of interest in him and wouldn't require a trade-up to get to him. I'd be thrilled with Lee if Beckham, HHCD, or Ebron isn't around

    Ryan Shazier, OLB

His college performance was outstanding and his measurables are off the charts. This projects him as an elite talent in the NFL. He's one of the fastest players in the draft, is a tackling machine, can cover very well, and is a backfield disruptor. He will be a star caliber player in the NFL, the only other player I can confidently say that about is Donald. He'll be a perfect fit in our defence as well as he can play almost anywhere on the field from day one and be a force.

I've had a progressively growing feeling of worriness, excitement and anticipation that for this draft. I cant handle it anymore, I wish it was over already!

I will be happy with the jets simply not taking a defensive lineman.

For the record, I didn't vote "other" because I have no clue who the guy would be, but if I had to lay money I'd probably choose the field on this one.

I think the Jets proprietary rankings are very different from ours individually here, and they get someone "falling" to them a la Richardson last year. A selection like Morgan Moses, Ryan Shazier, or Demarcus Lawrence. Hell, even one of the QBs - they may have Bridgewater/Manziel/Carr/etc ranked as an elite, tier-one franchise guy, and thus they do not pass if the player is there.

It could be possible, I just don't know if he would be the highest ranked on their board. I love Shazier, he's fast and a sure tackler. Great character Guy. We need a LB that can move from sideline to sideline.

Like mentioned above.getting a 2013 top 5 pick with the 18th in 2014. Too much value ,production and upside to ignore

Im going outside the box here and saying CJ Mosley. I think if the Jets stay at 18, he will be the best player on the board.

Edit: I think Dennard, Gilbert, Ebron, ODB, and both safeties will be gone by our pick
