MNF totally sucks for East Coast fans. Fuck the west coast I say, why cater to them. The games should be scheduled properly. If the Jets are playing the Pats or another "same time zone" team, then the game starts at 6:30pm. If there are 2 west coast teams playing each other, start it at whatever fucking time you want to. It should be time zoned scheduled imo. I hated MNF, SNF and TNF and especially Jets Thanksgiving night games. The NFL needs to fix this problem. The only fans that stay tuned in are the west coast and mountain time fans, and the unemployed.

As far as Seattle goes, they should be the team with the most primetime games as should the Broncos. Throw in a few more playoff teams who lost and ofcourse a few of the rivalry games(Cowboys/Redskins, Jets/Miami, Giants/Eagles, Jets/Giants if they play that year, Packers/Bears, Steelers/Browns or Bengals).

I would watch every Jets game if they all started at 3 in the morning.. Man up. It's only 16 weeks of the year and then you can go back and get your precious sleep.

Anyone else hate Thursday night games. It messes with 2 weeks worth of games IMO.

Sorry sonny, but I get up at 3:30am to go to work. Believe me, I`ve done it many times and it just ain`t worth it. I would think my job, my family and ofcourse, my sanity are much more valuable than, as YOU say, "Manning Up" will ever be. It`s a friggin game that ultimately means jack shit to everyone except the players, the league and the owners. I`ll "man up" on judgement day. Whenever that will be.

It sucks when the Jets have to play in one, but I like that they exist because it's a nice little dose of football halfway through the week.

yes I did. Maybe he`s one of those guys who isn`t married(but why is all we can speculate). He doesn`t look like he is by his avatar imo. Seems to get a kick outta meeting men who wouldn`t otherwise give him the time of day. Maybe he`s one of those rich kids who doesn`t have to work and still lives at home? I haven`t seen anything that would otherwise dispute that.

Maybe he is just someone that loves to watch professional football? Not everyone falls into easily defined stereotypes.

    Nope.
    I am 23 years old.
I work full time at a Fortune 500 Company as a Business Analyst.
Attend the University of South Florida at night.
Raise a 2 year old son at home.
And from September - December on Sundays watch my Jets ball out.

    Not so much...
"In their first Monday Night home game at Shea Stadium, the Jets, behind quarterback Richard Todd defeated the Minnesota Vikings on Oct. 15, 1979 by a score of 14-7. The game was forgettable as both teams were in the midst of nondescript seasons.
"But more importantly, the behavior of the Shea stadium crowd set a standard that would plague them for years. That night, 30 people were injured and a pair of fans arrested as violence hit Shea Stadium."

I was there; it was possibly the worst NFL experience I ever had. People started drinking after school or work and by gametime were so shitfaced they could have been anywhere. Fights were breaking out all over the stadium - one started under the big scoreboard during halftime and it was still going on midway through the fourth quarter. People I was with had to "convince" some high school aged punks not to attack a rentacop after the game had ended. Nobody apparently thought security needed to be beefed up from the routine of Sunday games with their mature crowd when it looked like most had given their tickets away to the kid down the block.

I was also at the Monday Night Miracle - great game, but so many people there missed it because they, too, started way too early.

don`t forget the Pumpkin Game back in 88 I think it was? Buffalo was winning 37-0 at one point and the fans simply went out of control. The pumpkin started it when the security guy popped it after it hit the field the second time(first security guy threw it back into the crowd after it hit the field the first time). Then some fans decided to torch the promo Campbell`s Soup hats they gave to everyone. Nice fire in the UD corner. Then all the fighting began. It was mayhem. Security had no control at all. Thats what started the beer ban after halftime and the 2 beer limit.

MNF just sucks unless you don`t work. Same goes for TNF and SNF, especially on the east coast.

they never used to put night games on in cold weather cities in Dec/Jan but they tried it in the Pats-raiders snowbowl and ever since they only care about TV and not the fans at the game.
