This year, NBA playoffs grabbed my attention big time. A lot of competitive games. If 2 years ago someone told me I would stay up late to watch the Grizzlies-Thunder game, I would have laughed. I haven't watched an NBA game from start to finish except maybe a few almost my entire life. But this year is different somehow. I liked what I have seen so far. Wizards eliminated Bulls which made me happy that an underdog won a series. I hope Hawks can eliminate the Pacers as well. Same thing for Nets. I hope they can eliminate the Raptors but it doesn't look like it. Raports will probably win the series. On the other hand I am rooting hard for Memphis as they are the 7 seed. Spurs-Mavs series can go either way and I won't be disappointed as I like both teams.
There used to be rumors about a Rondo - Westbrook swap. I wonder if it gets revisited? They will still need a low post scorer.
New commissioner, playoffs are far more competitive, more fans are complaining about referee calls. These things aren't mutually exclusive.
So you are saying some of the calls are towards making games competitive? Actually makes sense. I am pretty sure ratings are much better than previous years.
Yeah, pretty much. Silver wants to make a splash in his first year. That Sterling thing was his worst nightmare.
I'm not so sure, Stern totally screwed the Lakers back with the CP3 trade ... Lakers will get a lottery pick def.
Putting my bets on the Boston Celtics. I do think the Celtics and Lakers will get the royal treatment this off-season.
They don't always know the rules. Edinson Volquez got votes for rookie of the year in MLB even though he was not a rookie. Also, these NBA playoffs will lose a lot of luster if OKC is eliminated in the first round.
