They could have been invited and turned it down.....I haven't seen any info either way. Going to the draft is an ego thing, showing off your fancy clothes and bling.

Some of you Guys may not remember, the draft only use to invite like the top 5 Guys projected...it's now a 3 ring circus hug fest....don't like it.

I would actually rank them as Cooks, Beckham and then Lee. I like Lee and think he would be a good fit for our offense, but the drops scare me. I think Cooks and Beckham are home runs and are both a perfect compliment to Decker.

Fiedororwicz is another guy I like but he strikes me more as a project. Lynch isn't the best receiving TE, but he gets his catches and is also a fantastic blocker whereas CJ isn't.

not invited or turned down the invite? a few of these guys could fall to the second round so I don't blame them. if I were in their position I wouldn't want to be there. I'd rather be around friends and family.

I don't disagree. I would not be mad at all if we took Lee. I just prefer Beckham.

Beckham would be fine with me also. Two years ago if you told me we had a chance to get Marquise Lee I would be doing back flips. I'm expecting Idzik to pull a surprise that will upset some. But I don't want Evan, Dennard, Cook, Ha-Ha, Shazier, Roby and Barr in any round.

I totally agree with you regarding Cooks, Beckham and Lee, but you couldn't be more wrong regarding Fiedorowicz. How is he a project? That's just nuts. He has better hands than Lynch and is a much better blocker, and a bigger target. He is one of the top two blocking TEs in this draft. Niklas is the other. Lynch isn't even close.

IMO Lynch is a better blocker. It's one of his standout attributes. He plays at a higher level than Fiedorowicz. CJ needs to improve as a move blocker. Lynch does that well and he can also do combo blocks where he'll help out an OL on a DL then branch off to an OLB.

CJ is the better receiver no question, knows how to use his frame has good hands. Lynch does a few things well also. He adjusts to the throw, fights for yards and competes for jump balls, tight contested throws. CJ relies on his natural ability and coasts off of it. I don't think he's an immediate starter. Nor do I think Lynch is. I picked a TE later because that's how it fell. I don't think CJ will be available at the pick I used on Lynch.

I also want no parts of Barr, Roby or Shazier. Lee, last year was projected to be a top 3 pick this year but things like that happen all the time. I think Decker/Lee is a very deadly combo.

    It's sad. I'm a Buckeyes fan.

    Yet..

I think that Mewhort is going to the best NFL player in this draft coming from OSU. :/

I think Roby and Hyde will be average at best. Shazier has a really strong work ethic and high motor, so I have high hopes for him but I think the odds are against him.

Do you have any concerns about Beckham's lack of strength? He could only muster 7 reps on the bench press @ the combine.

I don't know if there's any correlation or not, but that seems like something to at least take into consideration if we're talking #18 overall.

Brandin Cooks had 16. 5'8" Tavon Austin had 14.

Beckham will be a good complementary receiver - I think Lee and Cooks are the better prospects. I truly believe Beckham will be gone with the Steelers pick to play alongside Brown. He's a far better fit for the Steelers then for the Jets.

I really like Shazier as a potential 3-4 ILB - he's smart enough to handle a wide range of duties inside in a 3-4 in my opinion. Just needs to bulk up a little bit. He's got excellent range.

Of course it's a concern but it could have been an off day, who knows. I see Beckham as a complimentary receiver to Decker who has the potential to be a breakout wideout down the line. Would love it if he could put on some more muscle.

I like Shazier but not at 18. If he were by some divine miracle there in the second I'd take him. He's an athletic freak, but way too small to play OLB.

Oh no way would I take him at 18, definitely a 2nd rounder for us. I don't see him as an outside linebacker, I see him inside covering the middle of the field, making plays, being a decent run stopper as well. He can def be the "Mike" linebacker.
