We were down by like 15 without really leading all game, when I wrote that. It's the inner Jets fan in me getting out.
God no team besides Miami has ever been this frustrating to play. It's like every single game no matter what crazy shit we pull off, they just nonchalantly take the lead back.
why the hell did Durant just take a 35 footer? Down 3, 20 seconds left made no sense Only thing I can think of is he didn't know if the shot clock was running out, but he could've just looked
I'm glad Westy took the shot, but he's been missing way too much. Shooting percentage has always been my biggest worry with the guy. Then after we get it back, KD takes an unnecessary shot from deep beyond the arc? Come on.
no issue with Durant shooting a 3, just that 3 was moronic plenty of time, could get a better shot (2 or 3) either a quick 2 and go for foul or turnover, or if it takes longer, get a decent look from 3 to tie absolutely no reason to chuck one from outside his typical range
OKC had an outside chance at the end, but it required Westbrook hitting the first two and missing the third (and offensive rebound and putback) he missed the 2nd though, so Memphis hangs on
The Thunder are in a lot of trouble. No way around it, same will be said of the Spurs if they lose game 3.
The Grizz have the ability to make the clutch plays when it matters. They have now shown it back to back nights. The Thunder are not going to blow em out, the Thunder are going to have to win the game/series in the final minutes. Last year KD had plenty of chances to beat the Grizz and he came up short time after time. Same thing appears to be happening again. Its going to be interesting to see how the Thunder respond to real pressure in game 4. It could just be the growing pains we saw with the Cavaliers back in the day.
Draymond Green is such a moron. Dunks down double digits, and swings himself into Jordan and then starts talking trash. He was the same idiot at Michigan State.
Green follows that up with a flagrant foul at the other end on the very next play. Griffin did miss both free throws, though.
amazing stats: Golden State 1/15 for three Jordan 20 rebounds already (plenty of GS bricks to collect)
Clippers with a terrible final possession. Had 20 seconds, ends with a guy (I think Collison) passing to Griffin with 1 second left, Griffin with a 3 that never had a chance. A lot of guys wait until 4 seconds are left to get started, and it's too late. NFL teams run 2 minute drills, NBA teams should teach their guards how to hold for the last shot.
