I love it. I will be going to Vegas over Memorial Day and will be throwing down some $$ on that!

I don't really want to make a prediction until after the draft. Even Idzik admits he blew it when he says "we recognize that we have a need at corner" and he also thinks he may be able to make a trade although I don't know with who or for who. Anyway that's is why I said unless something changes. I will wait to make a prediction.

I'm betting on the Jets to win at least 8 games. I can feel it

we are no worse in the secondary than last year. No one could possible play worse than CRO did last year. Nobody.

And the entire quote, "We recognize we have a need at corner," Idzik said. "But there's plenty of road ahead of us before we get to camp." Amazing how the interpretation of a quote can go dependent upon how much is quoted.
He never "admits he blew it", they picked up Patterson and they still have the draft.

4 months with 12 picks in draft to be exact.

Of course he knows he blew it or we wouldn't need one. He thought he would get one in FA which is why he let Cromartie go. The rest of the quote just says how long he has to get one. I didn't mean to say he admitted it outright but to say he admitted it by saying what he did.

I understand this thinking but also believe its flawed, mainly because I think teams early last year were both less aware of the weakness in our secondary, as well as unaware of the strength of our run defense (which was much weaker the prior season). I dont' have any stats to back it up, but it seems that as the season progressed teams started recognzing our secondary as our big defensive weakness, and successfully exploited it.

I imagine that the league is well aware of this weakness now, and will look to exploit it more often and earlier in the season.

We are much worse and our salvation is a guy who has managed to play very little over the last three years due to injuries but Cro was hurt but and that doesn't count for anything, right?

"I need a new apartment, my lease is up in July"

Stating how long you have to get something is not a minor point. Had I said just that I need a new apartment it leaves it up to interpretation and some like you would think I was currently homeless when in fact there is plenty of time.

No, I said he plans to trade for one if he can, my only point was he admits we need one and we do. Anybody who thinks we don't is crazy.

You said he admits "he blew it" but that is just your own feeling and based on nothing.
You say he planned to trade for a corner but haven't shown where he said that.
And saying, anybody that says we don't need a corner is crazy, is ridiculous. While it may be a need, if they got safety help and a rush LB they could certainly work with the CB's they have for now.

Same here. Can't do worse than last season. I don't care what the schedule looks like.

I need a 5-mile ride into town. I have $100. Limo pulls up and offers to take me to town for $95. I say "no thanks. I'll wait for a taxi."

    Fuck, man... I blew it, didn't I?

It doesn't matter if he was hurt. Youre not smart are you. Even if his disasterous season was due to injury, we CANNOT be worse than last year unless th ereplacement plays worse than Cro. Which is humanly impossible.

Yes, I don't think the Jets are in bad shape right now. In fact, the team will be more competitive than last year. Barring injury and with some mighty luck ( and I mean lots lol) we beat the better teams on schedule. Cromarties replacement is going to excel.

I really think the Jets are going to be pretty good this year. I say that as a fan but also as someone who is trying to be objective. At this juncture they have middle of the pack talent. Injuries, as they have with any club, can change the season but as I recall Houston and Atlanta were hot picks last year.
