Not sure why but that was the first episode i didn't like. Tywin's scenes were great though. Sam and Arya scenes, meh. Looks like Tywin gives up the mountain for Obrins alliance
Ehhh episode. It set a lot up though for the future episodes -- crows/wildlings.. Dary.. Tywin and also Tyrion. I hope we see a good battle between dany and the city of mareen (sp?). I thought it was pretty funny how Tywin is taking the new king under his wing to help him learn and lead. He saw how bad of a mentor Cersei was w Joffrey so now Tywin will try his luck. As always, looking forward to next weeks episode. PS -- LITTLE FINGER IS SO SLIMY!!! Idk whose worse, him or Varys
This week's episode was okay, obviously not going to live up to the shock value of the last episode and did a good job setting up things for the coming weeks. Especially with Wildlings and Mereen. Kind of want to see more and more Arya, she's one of the best characters on the show and I don't think she gets enough screen time. I've read the books so I know where her story is heading, just wish it would get there a little bit faster.
As mentioned I read the books but I don't recall the certain...exchange...between Jamie and Cersei happening in the books, especially in that setting. Did it happen and it just slipped my mind or was that a TV show only thing? Edit: Nevermind. I actually just read an article online that confirmed that the exchange happened in the books but under a very different context. Note: I'm not really sure how far the "no spoilers" thing extends. Is it just book spoilers for the show or episode spoilers up to a point as well?
I dont know, but people who are calling it rape are being ridiculous. She liked it and the setting was correct it just annoyed people that she was too against it..But she gave in and did like it.
No Book Spoilers since this is a HBO Game of Thrones titled. I think we can freely talk about anything that happened in episodes that are out. Probably don't mention anything from previews for next week. I'm not really sure. Other boards I read about GoT state in the TV show thread that the preview shouldn't be talked about without spoiler/black bar function over the conversation but anything that aired is free to mention. Absolutely no book talk though and anyone who read the books shouldn't speculate or give "theories"
That was kind of my feeling to. Even the story I read the director or writer or someone indicated that she wasn't really resisting having sex with Jamie just wasn't a fan of the actual circumstances (i.e. beside their dead son) and that it wasn't really forced. I think some people are being a bit over-sensitive about it especially with a show that discusses the fact that so many women get raped...but I do get the kind of slippery slope of "it's okay to force yourself on someone because if they like it by the end it's not rape." I don't think that's the message being sent here but that seems to be the message some people are receiving and I can see why some people would be upset by that.
Walkers probably have a crazy army ready to go. Going to go out in a limb saying they attack the kingdoms and then danys dragons come In and save the day. Ruining the white walkers day.
It was pretty interesting for sure. Overall I didn't find the episode to be particularly exciting but they are obviously doing a lot of set up for future episodes to be interesting.
I feel like thr last few episode have been setting stuff up and I keep thinking the next episode will great. It's killing me. One thing for sure, episode 9 will be amazing as always. Ned stark death season 1. Black water season 2. Red wedding season 3.
