Have you seen his arm? Gruden had him in and if they draft him it won't be to convert him to another position.
The guy couldn't hit the side of a 747 if he was walking up the ramp. His accuracy is horrendous. Guy is a camp body at the QB position, but at the TE position we may have something... Dude ran a 4.61 at the combine.. He can move for a guy of that size.
No, I said I liked what he said, which you completely ignored, but that in context it didn't mean what another poster here said it meant, which was that it proved he was working hard to suceeed and would. Stop crying.
Byz, fwiw, the guy was the #1 tight end prep recruit and played in the All-America bowl game at TE. Duke was the only school that originally wanted at him as a potential QB. But it's a moot point anyway, as I'm not going to have him on my soon-to-be-released, super duper coming soon Jets '14 mock draft. I got a big lug with our first 4th round pick who may not be 'sexy' a la Ebron or ASJ, but is good money hands-wise and blocking-wise.
I didn't know that, maybe it's something to consider. But speaking of "soon-to-be-released", I don't see a QB drafted late as a TE and as one of 12 draft picks making the final 53 man roster when we just re-signed 2 journeyman TEs this offseason. If we're going TE later than round 2, I'd rather have that meathead Nicklas from Notre Dame.
Meathead? Aw gee Glawria, did ya hear what he cawled him? ; ) Anyway, ferget da Cathlick from Noter Daym., I wuz thinking about the Jewish kid from Iowa....whaz his name?...Fiedorowitz?
LOL. I think I saw him play the Army All American game a while back. I wouldn't mind him or meathead, but I'm thinking CJ goes to the Pats.
He is widely inaccurate, but the kid has a BEAST of an arm. Not a huge fan of him, but maybe the Jets CS sees something - they have to draft a QB in this draft and let Simms go.
I don't see any evidence to support your claim of Geno being "wildly inaccurate". I actually thing he has a nice touch on his passes and I believe he will get better as his career progresses.
Anyone that voted Geno must be kidding themselves...that sportsnation poll says it all. Only WVU fans have any faith in him
I think Vick wins the job. Because Vick wins the job, there's a very good chance that Geno's future here is limited. And if that's the case then maybe we should've drafted a better qb prospect when we had the chance.
I don't think Vick winning the job would destroy Geno's future. Vick is only a short term solution. If he takes the reigns, he's only keeping them warm for Geno. It seems like Vick will not be the starter, based on interviews thus far, but you never know. He knows MM's offense in and out. He's the perfect guy to teach Geno Smith.
