Some random guy saw CJ walking in the facilities... Nobody knew he was coming in for a visit... Is Idzik Batman?

Agreed. After several weeks of no news and no visits, CJ wouldnt show up at the Jets facility without an understanding on contract terms. I'm sure Idzik was very firm in his offer and now CJ has come to the Jets.

God I love the way Idzik operates. Not only did he not shoot his wad two seconds after CJ was released (which is what half this place wanted him to do with every FA available) but he had the media thinking we didn't even contact him. This is why you don't believe anything reported until it actually happens.

This board is going to go ape shit when we get this tweet.

At 4PM, CJ2K walked out of Florham Park without a contract. Giants next.

Sadly enough, there are some people here that are praying for that tweet just so they have something to complain and bash Idzik for, since there's really been no logical reason to as of yet.

Once again I ask- will the Idzik fans please tell me what a good offer for CJ would be? I would love to hear your value for him in advance.

I also can't wait to see how incarcerated Bob spins this so that it doesn't look like he was wrong, which he always is. Even better, I can't wait to see how many people believe him.

We have $26 million to spend. I personally think his value lies around 4 or 5 million per year. But I honestly would not be mad if we go up to 6 million. Also depends on the length of the contract.

Long story short, given the contracts that have been handed out to running backs this offseason, you would be a fool to think we can get him for less than $4 million.

There's no reason not to get this deal done today. CJ clearly doesn't have a big market. Pay this guy and let's get some receivers in the draft.

The only thing that should matter is the guaranteed loot. You have to guarantee prob 8-9 mil to make him happy.

At this point of the offseason and the available cap id be ok with a ceiling of 6 mill nothing committed past 2 years.

Hopefully this guy is still a home run threat and hasn't entered the vaginal side of his
    career.
