I seriously laugh everytime i think of Chris Johnson at a table with John Idzik negotiating. i just cant picture it. What would their conversation be like? I think Idzik would stare at his teeth with a blank face

This whole story is becoming so boring, there isn't anything to talk about when it comes to CJ.My feeling is if the Jets really wanted him they would have signed him already,Idzik and the other GMs are forcing his value down by waiting ,My guess is he ends up elsewhere

Not getting Chris Johnson isn't the end of the world. Obviously no one wants this guy.

Take a pay-cut and go back to TN.

I think the Jets made him a Jet friendly offer that he didn't like. The fact you've heard nothing means he probably has nothing. Maybe he'll take that offer eventually. At least that's what I'm thinking.

I'll bet he got more then one offer. Now they may not be what he wants. I'll say when it said and all done he ends up signing with someone who got a lot better chance to win a SB then the Jets. Plus it will be for less money then we offer him.

This is the worst part of the off-season. We don't know a thing about the draft, and there is no free agency anymore. All we have is a bunch of pointless messages about Chris Johnson with no actual news.

You know, speaking of that, I feel like we should have a thread for actual news, where people only post anything if it's NEWS. It gets so frustrating reading thru 50-100 messages each day without ever reading anything noteworthy.

You frustrate easily. Relax, we're just passing time, if anything happens there will be 10 new threads about it.

Examples? Also you kind of proved my point with the end of your post.

Exactly. It truly is fun to see peoples/Jet fans personalities this time of year. Many fans don't understand that the offseason "is a process". I can't stand that Mangina statement, but there is allot of truth to it.

You have the RFA portion of the offseason
    Franchise and transition tag
    Tier one of free agency
    Tier two of free agency
Tier three of free agency (where we currently are)
    The NFL draft
    UDFA pickups
    OTA
Tier four of free agency (best deals, after this is hard to find a job until injury)
    Training camp

I may have missed a sequence or a particular period in here but, the point remains the same. There is plenty of opportunity to get cost effectieve, quality depth players down the road. The sooner CJ realized this and takes the best deal, the better off he will be. He seem to me like a money guy first, and championship guy second. As a fan I want 52+ team guys but that's very unrealistic intodays world.
Still, would love him on our team.

Thanks for that schedule. I am uneducated, and don't know how to google an NFL offseason.

I could tell by your posts. Pump the brakes pal, it's a long offseason.

I know it's a long off-season, but it could be broken down into 2 main parts realistically.

The first part is free agency. The main stream of it is over, and we only did a few smaller things. The second big part of the off-season is the draft. Obviously none of us can comment on that yet. Even after that tho, It's hard to complain. I mean most of us (myself included) were quite unhappy with drafting Sheldon at first, but look now right?

I'm just trying to say in conclusion, that I'm not pissed off with the team or anything. I understand the long term plan; It's just very frustrating knowing that we did nothing to replace CB, and didn't fill needs like we really should have, and needed to before the draft. Call me inpatient, but I really want Rex to stay, and am nervous of his security. I mean no harm when posting, however I am stressed as hell in my personal life, so I apologize if it sometimes leaks over into this virtual world.

    Anyway, go Jets. :)

Former Titans RB Chris Johnson is visiting the Jets right now, per team sources who spotted him in the teams' training facility.

I'm curious if the so called offer or low ball offer that I thought we heard about eons ago when all this Chris Johnson talk began actually ever happened ?
If we did make him a previous offer that would make me feel a little better about him coming in today,,,,,,along with Adam Shefter being the one reporting this
