6 assists in 18 games is something to fuckin' brag about, you kidding, by the way i hope he wakes the fuck up, we need more than Brass-Pou-Zucc carrying us every game
I'm not one to call people out but this is a statement straight out of the Blueseat geniuses upstairs. Does it really matter who finishes on a goal so long as the offense is being generated? Think about that. "He's not getting paid to set-up goals, he's getting paid to score them." Who cares! If he's playing well enough to be a playmaker rather than a finisher then so be it! The guy started really slow after the trade. And it was frustrating. But the last several games, he's looked really good. Certainly good enough for me not to be worried about his goal drought. The team looks good. Hopefully they're in for a fun ride in the playoffs.
haha - yeah but it's true. We need finishers, that's why we got MSL. We have enough setup guys. But definitely if he's setting up goals he is contributing and that's valuable to the team. But he's here to be the guy that scores
Home ice secured in 1st round...good stuff...played to the Sabres level most of the game as usual... 2 nice passes setup both goals, passes by Zucc and MSL
Seth Rothman@RothmanHockey10h #Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist's last 16 games: 11-4-1, 1.81 GAA, .939 sv%, 2 SO.
Seth Rothman@RothmanHockey10h #Rangers allowed two goals or less in 48 games, 1 goal or less in 30 games. 38-10-0 when allowing 2 or less, 28-2-0 when allowing 1 or less.
Rather Columbus but we can beat the Flyers we have a big edge with Hank over Mason and our defensemen are superior to theirs, but the Filthies will make it a war...the key if you remember 2 years ago is to win quick series in the early rounds, those 7 game series wore us down even though we won...
I guess I'm in the minority here but I'd much rather see Philly than Columbus in round one. (For what it's worth, I can't believe I'm saying that either.) I want no part of the Rangers playing against Bob in the other net. He's played very well down the stretch. And for some reason, I just think the Jackets are a match up headache for the Rangers. For the last 3-4 seasons the Rangers have handled Philly quite handily. The games in recent memory vs. Columbus, specifically this season, have been stressful.
