Yeah, you're right about that, I think I like their current direction, but I'll like it a lot more if they find a playmaking WR and maybe one of those promising TEs in the draft to go with it. But the way the Pats loaded up at corner this year, the Jets are probably dogmeat against them twice this season.
I forgot about that aspect, I am fairly positive its going to be Jets-Patriots SNF week 2. Its a good matchup as long as the Jets are relevant, and no matter what happens week 1, they will be relevant week 2.
they are more talented but the talent gap was greater last year and we beat them once and had a great chance in the other game. They will finish ahead of us but we'll have a chance to beat them.
Small victories, I guess. BTW, how the hell did you post 10,000 times since I quit this place last year?
Noone wants to start the season on a losing note therefore i voted raiders on the road would be huge if we win coming home against anyone ..
I would like to play Denver also maybe the 2nd game but our luck we will knock peyton into retirement and their backup Brock Oswieler will turn into the next brady .
Preseason sched: Week 1: Indianapolis Colts Week 2: at Cincinnati Bengals Week 3: New York Giants Aug. 28: at Philadelphia Eagles
That's why we got the dreaded week 2 slot on Thursday Night Football last year. In the NFL's mind, Ravens/Steelers, Broncos/Pats, Bears/Packers, Giants/Cowboys, Cowboys/Redskins, 49ers/Seahawks have been more important rivalries. The Buttfumble/embarassment on Thanksgiving put a hit on the Jets/Pats rivalry as far as getting big games go. Add we had a 45-3 affair not too long ago and the primetime Jets/Pats game have not faired well for us.
I don't want any Night games this season. Everyone outside NY hates the JETS for some reason. Maybe 1 MNF game but I don't want any Sunday nighters. Dan Dierdorff is a moron !!!
Why the hate for night games? I love em. The anticipation until kickoff, playing under the lights... The more night games the better in my opinion. Guess it's cuz I'm young idk
Hopefully it's New England. I'm more concerned with who we get stuck with for the Thursday night shitfest. C'mon Raiders!!!
every team gets at least one Thursday Night game so we'll have that. I would suspect we'd get a Mon Nighter or 2 as well. I hate night games but the better you are expected to be the more you get and I liked Dierdorf.
We can always get a late November/December Sunday night game if we are in playoff contention or are a quality team. Good teams find their way on SNF by the flex schedule.
I picked the Patriots. Nothing is more satisfying than opening up the season stomping their faces in.
I've got a question for you: Do you think the Jets have a better chance of beating the Patriots in week one or say, week ten?
it's always better to play the Pats early, they tend to get better and better later in the season until they peak in December/early January.
