Draft has started.....any questions, comments & discussions in this thread. Thought this would be a fun idea to liven up the draft forum and all can participate and not locked into one team.
Vikings really want to trade out of the 8 slot if they can. Best players available are Jake Matthews and Mike Evans and the Vikings are very talented at OT and WR. If they have to pick there look for somebody like Aaron Donald or Timmy Jernigan, both of whom would be reaches.
Something tells me that the Vikings are striving to change their prior concepts, I don't think they reach in this draft. They could, I just don't think that they do. I think they will go with a player that will be an important building block for that new Zimmers D.
I hate Roby as a first round prospect. Think he's round 3 at best. He got absolutely shredded my mediocre QB and WR play in the B1G this year.
It's hard to say what Gettelman will do, but if the draft falls this way, I have to think that Cam Newton would kill Gettelman if the Panthers didn't take Odell Beckham, Jr. or Jordan Matthews at #28.
Panthers really want a WR at 28 but they're in a bad spot. Too early for Robinson and Matthews and Benjamin is a project. They need people who can catch the ball next year because they've got most of the other pieces.
Panthers could be looking at a real down season. Newton is a good player on the rise but he's not good enough to carry them and if he gets hurt they're just screwed.
Was hoping Donald would have fell 1 more to Denver.....that's a tremendous pick for the Niners. Donald might not even fall out of the top 15.
That was one of those where you have to look at the list at least 30 times because you are convinced that he surely would've been taken by now and there is no way he is still available. Must be missing his name somehow, let me check again. lol
Moses getting out to the 37 was pretty amazing. I have him as a late 1st rounder, maybe very early 2nd if things fall just right.
