Results? Really? Besides Richardson he gotten no results. People already want to get rid of Geno,Millner had signs of becoming a good CB. As of right now he shows he get one good player from his only draft.
I have nothing against Idzik im just not a pom pom wielding homer. I hope he is a great GM. As for the little guy comment, I'm actually 6'0, bench 245 and would probably step on you Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
Lol I guess this isn't about Millner anymore,Everything turns into a John Idzik conversation these days
The only ones ignoring anything are those that are insistent that Idzik is only a cap guy. Your article has reporters claiming he is a capologist and reference anonymous sources while others here post quotes from GMs and other very knowledgeable football people who had no problem putting their names to the quotes and those GMs and knowledgeable football people were very clear that Idzik has been involved in player evaluations and in fact excelled at it, "he knows talent. He has a unique eye for evaluating players". I'll trust the quotes of those willing to put their name behind it rather than anonymous sources who could just be a janitor that worked in the building.
No not a brag .... Just that I don't think I qualify as a little guy, certainly i would hypothesize that someone who comes on a message boards and tosses around baseless cheap shots of that nature must have some security issues, or perhaps his frustration got the best of him ... Happens to all of us. I just don't understand why ppl on this board don't respect others' opinions. Whatever happened to agree to disagree? Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
You could read those quotes and take them for face value .... I read them and here empty praises from a former colleague who john probably kissed his bunghole for a few years. Hey ppl wanna see their pals get good jobs. It's called nepitism. It exists ppl. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
I actually deleted the little guy part, but you latched onto it because you know I was right about everything else I said. It's very clear what you want to believe, and it's very clear that you're not really interested in hearing a counter argument. It's a flimsy stance but I guess that's all you have, really.
You were very strong then. I was skinny in high school could get passed 135. Herniated disks from a 9/11 injury limit how hard I can go now I have to take it easy. I take this anti inflammatory ut it messes with my stomach. Anyway ... Lets all call a truce. I have my opinion on Idziks true area of expertise ... You have yours. Agree to disagree. So GMs quotes were only to help a buddy out but anonymous sources are granted the full weight of the words dispensed. Just laughable.
You can laugh all you want, but this makes complete sense to me. Everyone knows you don't publicly throw someone in your industry under the bus. Has anyone ever heard an election concession speech? Geez. I'll post some educational material for guys later when I get home in regards to journalism practice and use of anonymous sources. It seems like you guys need a lesson in that area. Again .... Inconclusive .... Costello goes on to say it just means "scout" but quickly follows up with that he just "worked in the building". This doesn't support either of our views on reality. This doesn't prove anything. Again that he successfully politiced his way into low end scouting duties, got a ticket to a pro day or a combine, maybe free admission to a college game to scout ... Perhaps he did. I'm not arguing that. But clearly that was not his area of expertise if he was relegated to cap duty for 6 years in sea as stated by the Seattle Times. And had to beg to go on scouting trips in Arizona. Talented evaluators shouldnt have to beg and kiss ass to go on scouting trips. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
Oh My God, I just... I just can't comprehend your denial right now. Also, you're blatantly misquoting that article. It was 3 years, not 6. the 2010 season, the 2011 season, and the 2012 season.
Manish, is that you? It would make sense with your half-assed crusade against Idzik being in parallel with his snarky insubstantial and angry tweets about Idzik, and beat writers (namely Cimini) have already been busted posting on Jets forums sticking up for their own baseless drivel and journalistic cowardice. The thing that makes me doubt this idea is that Manish looks to be about 5'2" and could probably bench a meatball sandwich on a good day, and one would hope that a guy that makes his money in the written word would be able to spell nepotism correctly.
The article says he worked in Sea since 2007 but did not specify his duties from 2007-2010. I did read that he begged to go on scouting trips in Arizona where some of u ate posting that his superiors praised him for having an eye for talent. Then why did he have to beg to go on scouting trips? Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
Unfortunately spell check isn't so great on my android. I'll never be accused of being a spelling bee champ though hehe. I dont have a crusade against Idzik, I have an opinion about hos expertise. Let me ask you this ... What do you think his area of expertise is? Cap management or player evaluations? If u had to pick one? His signature skill? He can't be equally great at both .... So framing it that way ... Reading all the quotes, applying some objectivity ... What area is Idzik strongest in? My vote is cap management. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
