    UK vs. UConn

UK should be about a 2.5 point favorite

    And it happens again!

Wow. You know a 7 seed vs an 8 seed sounds like a cinderella story and then you say it's UCONN vs Kentucky haha.

Cal let them play it out late too late in the game. Wow. Ridiculous game

    just a wild ending

Kentucky got a terrible shot but Aaron Harrison has been clutch. Wisconsin got what they wanted. Up 2, they forced Kentucky to take 9 seconds and get a deep contested 3.

Obvious statement here, but it doesn't seem to get talked about a lot. The last play of the game illustrated the huge difference between the NBA and college. In the NBA you can advance it with a timeout and they would've probably gotten a better look (with over 5 seconds left).

Instead, Jackson tried a bank shot, but it had too much force because he had to shoot it on the run (can't really have a soft touch on that kind of play).

Not sure why they didn't use their last timeout with about 3 seconds left. Jackson slowed down right over the half court line then sped up again.

The announcers were mentioning if Wisconsin used another TO (so 2 in a row) they could have moved the ball to the front court. Is that a rule?

I heard that and it could've easily been misunderstood

no, they were referring to Wisconsin dribbling past half court and then taking another timeout to call a play with 2-3 seconds left (many teams try to do this in this situation. 5+ seconds left with a timeout, they tell them to get it past half court as quickly as possible, then they call timeout and draw up a play).

Yeah that's what I thought. I knew college doesn't advance but when they mentioned 2 I was wondering if that was a rule or not. Yeah, I think they were fine overall. Got a shot they wanted like you said.

To keep it simplistic, Kentucky made their shot and Wisconsin missed.

Cauley-Stein said yesterday afternoon he wouldn't play Monday either (if they made it).

Also, Poythress tweaked his knee in the postgame celebration, but says he's fine.

Couldn't have 2 more disliked teams for me facing off against each other--this reminds me of the Giants-Pats Superbowls--hated local rivals versus The Evil Empire.

Don't want either team to win--either one will make me vomit.

I've no horse in this race but since they're from the shadows of the Big East I guess I'll go with UConn over UK (and Calipari).

If Kentucky wins, it'll solidify their standing as the greatest program in college basketball.

Mike and Mike were talking about this this am. Whomever wins can genuinely lay claim to being the best college BB program of our generation.

Whomever wins will have 4 championships in the last 20 years.

Highest combined seeding for a title game.

No team seeded lower than 8 has ever reached the title game, and the only team below a 6 to win prior to this year was 1985 Villanova.

UConn the first 7 to ever reach the final four and title game (previous best was elite 8).

Yeah its really nuts, I think it might go to show that the guys who are doing the seeding did an absolutely horrible job. I didnt watch the basketball all year but when I saw Kentucky was an 8 seed I was like wtf because from what I understood they were the most talented group and were ranked #1 coming into the year. The same people who ranked them #1 were the same people who ranked them #40 in the tourney. Kinda questionable, its like they thought they were off originally, so they tried to fix it, but it turns out what they had thought originally was correct. Now I understand its a 1-and done tourney and anything can happen but come on.
