Seems like everyone including CJ, the Titans GM, every sports writer except Jim Wyatt thinks CJ is released

“I’d like to thank all of my teammates, the fans, the staff and the coaches who have supported me throughout my journey with the Titans. I have grown so much as an individual and as teammate over the past few years, and I am excited about the opportunity to bring my experience and talents to a new organization. I’m looking forward to the next chapter and can’t wait to contribute to my new team.” #JUICE

it's not that he hasn't been released, the question is whether he's OFFICIALLY been released

He already has lost all credibility in most peoples opinion, regardless of this particular situation.

Ian Rapoport @RapSheet Note: Chris Johnson wasn't on the @NFL's transaction wire yesterday. Release should be official Monday at 4. Until then, no talks with teams.

I have a pretty good feeling about this one. I think this could be something that was anticipated by the front office and they had planned on going after hard. That's not based on much more than the retarded media and a gut feeling though. CJ is still one of the better backs in the league and could add an explosive element to the offense. They could probably do a 3 year $15 million deal with a nice signing bonus (included in the $15 million) to land him - say $8 million. I think we'd be in a pretty good place going into the draft too.

Has to be between Buffalo and us. Unless a mystery team shows up. I like our chances.

Johnson would start for us while he would have to split carries with Jackson and Spiller in Buffalo.

True that. The beat writers HATE HATE HATE Idzik. He has been so tight lipped and that guys like Mehta have nothing to write about, so these stupid ass tweets and articles are their version of temper tantrums. Mehta is no better than Skip Bayless, except he spouts BS from behind a cell phone or laptop instead of on cable TV.

I would think Christ himself is a big offensive upgrade.

I'm not sure Buffalo would even be interested, so the link to them and CJ2K is bunk. CJ is going to want the title as the starter. But the thought of him and Ivory wearing down defenses for CJ to "pop" one is very intriguing.

I think this would be a fantastic move and allow the jets to do what Rex's montra is. Control the clock, play lights out defense and shorten the game. Let's just hope our starting LG really takes off next year and this line can create some holes. This concernes me more then signing CJ.

I think Christ would be more of a QB. RB's dish out too much punishment.

This is the one signing I will get really pissed at Idzik if we don't go after him with guns blazing. He is the perfect solution at RB for him and us. He is a fast runner who makes people miss and catches the ball with great skill. Ivory is a bruiser who runs people over. Both players would benefit with less carries and CJ is a great fit when Marty runs his spread offense. He is coming off an off year mostly caused by a knee injury that was fixed also has been unhappy in Titan land for the last 2 years. Some players benefit from a change of scenery and this cat is that man plus he would love to play for Rex after all the BS in TN. I am totally on board with what the Jets are doing this off season, not over paying for FA's and focusing on the draft as our main vehicle for improvement. We have won the off season in the past and we all got all crazy with the enthusiasm and then once the season starts reality smacks us in the face. Mr. T would have over paid for 5 guys with the $ we have to spend missing on 4 of them. Its why we had such a mess when John got here. Not signing the other Cro to that stupid contract, letting our Cro walk, passing on Desean beautiful. Decker not crazy about it but the $ were not over the top based on what other guys got and he's a quality dude who has is still not peaked. I expect Idzik to sit back and let CJ determine that the market for RB's is not what it once was and hopefully no once signs him to some stupid contact like the Giants did with Cro. At that point the Jets should swoom in and offer him above market value to land this guy. I would offer him to 2 years, 8/5M with 5.5M guaranteed or 3 years at 11m 7.5 guaranteed. This is more then he is worth but it gives is another weapon teams would have to game plan for before we even get to the draft. Then if the draft would yield a pass catching TE, WR and some OL depth, we would have ourselves an offense teams would have to deal with. Please Woody, tell your GM to get it done!!!!!
