Patty Mills is a hell of a player. He has starter potential, been saying it for 2 years. He would be a starter on a lot of the other NBA teams.
I didn't even notice the 3, hopefully soon to be 4-0 series. I'm always so focused on how OKC fares against the Heat. The games were won by 6, 13, and 6. So it's not like OKC just blows them out of the water when they play. One thing is for sure though. No amount of stats can predetermine the playoffs.
I can't wait for the playoffs lol theres a bunch of good teams in the west. Eastern playoffs will be far less exciting unfortunately.
Well this game itself was kinda unfair to begin with. OKC hasnt played since Sunday, the Spurs had to go to Indy monday, had Golden State last night, and then had to head to OKC tonight. Im not putting much stock into this game, and im honestly not worried, if the Thunder can beat the Spurs in a 7 game series then they would deserve to play in the finals.
Yeah I remember you complaining about it earlier in the week. But yeah I'm not putting much stock in it either. The playoffs are right around the corner. This Spurs streak is not important. The amount of games back is not important. The Spurs were the better team over the 82 game season. Now it's almost go time.
even better than home court for San Antonio is the way the matchups fall, and they get an easier opponent in the second round, assuming they advance out of the first.
Mavs have blown so many 4th quarter leads They tried hard to blow another (up 12 with 3:24 left to up 2 with 31 seconds left, Collison missed a 3 that would've given LA the lead) but managed to hold on to beat the Clippers Blake Griffin got injured with about 10 seconds left in the game.
Indiana loses at Toronto, Miami loses at home to Minnesota Only two teams in the East have a better point differential than Minnesota (Miami and Indiana, of course).
yep watched most of the 2nd half and both OTs Miami got away with some offensive fouls late in the game and in OT, IMO Minnesota 17-11 vs. the East Denver 16-14 New Orleans 19-11 Phoenix 20-10 Memphis 19-9 Dallas 20-10
It's been brought up a ton this year, but the trend was like this. The West have had better FO and owners than the East and the cumulative effect of that shows.
Yeah and I think some injuries changed things to. If the Bulls had a healthy Rose right now, everything would be a lot more complicated.
That's true, but the Bulls are still a good team without him and the WC would still be stronger overall. If the Suns hold on for a win against POR, 3 teams would sit at 45-31 in the WC for the 8 seed. DAL/MEM/PHX fighting until the end. I think my choice as a fan would be to see DAL and MEM make it over PHX. Sorry PHX. Also, GS/SAC game, ouch.
Yeah PHX is not a draw for me. Havent watched much of em tbh. And Spurs gain ground with the Thunder losing. That might just about secure the 1 seed. Not sure what the magic number is but im pretty sure the Spurs have it now barring a collapse.
The seeds with roughly 5 games to go per team, are basically set. I don't think the order matters all that much though. Anyway, I really thought the Wolves, along with the Pelicans would be playoff teams this year.
Order as in seeding matter big time in the west. It's like rock paper scissors for the top WC teams. In EC, it's best to just get the best seed possible as IND/MIA can still flip flop for the 1 seed but the 3/4 are tied so BK is probably watching that with much interest.
