Yeah I though Curry should have taken the shot even if it wouldn't be the final shot. NY had no timeouts left anyways. I'm not sure if the Knicks would have fouled though, Woodson isn't a great late game manager this year
NYK Schedule: @ PHI, vs CLE, @ LAL, @SAC,@ PHX, @ GS W,L,L,W,L,W Then: @UTA, vs BK, vs WAS, @ MIA, @ TOR, vs CHI, @ BK, vs TOR ATL schedule: vs NOP, @ TOR, vs PHX, @MIN, vs POR, @ WAS, L, L, L, L, L, L vs PHI, vs CHI, vs CLE, @ IND, vs DET, vs BOS, @ BK, vs MIA, vs CHA, @ MIL 2 back in the loss column, 1 back in the standings. Tomorrow is huge. The Knicks cannot waste a game against Utah, the last bad team left on their schedule. So going forward: Mon. 3/31 PHI @ ATL NYK @UTA Tues. 4/1 N/A Wed. 4/2 BK @ NYK CHI@ATL Thurs. 4/3 N/A Fri. 4/4 CLE @ ATL WAS @ NYK Sat. 4/5 N/A
I was guessing they would not foul (since it's the Knicks), but the offensive team always has to worry about it
Imagine all the stupid losses the Knicks have this year, just 1 win against the Hawks and they're in a playoff spot right now
Woodson is such a pathetic coach, we barely survived with such poor offensive game plan. Phil must have spit in disgust
Woodson looked like a genius, however, putting in Brown for the last possession and getting that turnover. We FINALLY closed out a close game and didn't completely collapse in the clutch!
Knicks win but Hawks win. The Knicks keep pace. THJ was injured at the very end of the game thought and had to be helped off the court. Was not putting weight on his right leg I believe.
This final stretch will really show who the Knicks are. Even in their fun March, bad losses to PHX and LAL and CLE but key wins vs IND and GS. It works out true too. If the Knicks show they're a good team down the stretch, they most likely grab the 8 seed. If they don't ATL sleepwalks in or CLE sneaks into the playoffs
7 games left v 7 playoff teams. Let's see what were made of! 5-2/4-3 puts us at 14-3 or 13-4 to go into the playoffs
5 & 2 isn't good enough. 6-1 is the only record where the odds put the Knicks in a playoff spot http://www.sportsclubstats.com/NBA/Eastern/Atlantic/NewYork.html
What do you mean? 2-5 could even get us in at 1%. 5-2 is 42%.. I think that's definitely doable considering how poorly Atlanta is playing.
42% ... exactly. Odds are less than probable (50%) if the Knicks go 5-2. For it to be probable, they need to go 6-1 or 7-0
9 games for ATL. Maybe I'm overestimating them, but I see at least 4 wins for them. That's 4-5 overall leaving them at 36-46. The Knicks are at 32-43 right now. So they need to go 5-2 to pass the Hawks.
I think it is over estimating them. They weren't going to lose to Philly. Sixers are god awful. One game at a time, predicting wins and citing percentages of who can do what can be flawed. The only stat that matters is 1 game behind. The Hawks have been playing worse and the Knicks have been playing slightly better, than earlier in the season. It's anybody's spot at this point. The Hawks have the Bulls tonight. It should be another loss. Brooklyn will be a tough opponent but it's a winnable game. The Knicks have shown that they can beat playoff teams. Again, if we play up to the competition it should be a nail biter. Pull it out and we are tied. From there they can still go .500 and get the spot.
Well it's two back in the loss column which is more important until we play the same amount of games as them.
Hawks have 2 games in hand and own the tiebreaker, Knicks somehow need to keep winning against Wizards / Heat / Raptors / Bulls / Nets / Raptors Man there is just no way unless Atlanta loses out
