I disagree. CJ is a dancer that will have 5 yards on 15 carries and then burst free for 60 yards. I'd rather have Ivory pounding the rock all game with CJ spelling, looking for that homerun.
I disagree. Go ahead and look at their college accomplishments. Try this on for size as well: LeMichael James 40: 4.45 / DeAnthony Thomas: 4.50 ..
Yeah, but Ivory has not proven that he is capable of carrying the load game after game. He's always nicked up. CJ2k has not had a proper line/line coach in years. CJ2K and his ability to catch out of the backfield and pass block is a boon to Geno. Remember what he did for Vince Young in 2009?
40 times are irrelevant in regards to football speed. When you put those pads on, there is a different level of speed Thomas goes. LeMichael never scored TDs at the pace Thomas did. Every 8 touches
Gang Green Nation @GangGreenNation 53m Rumor: Jets will act fast if Chris Johnson is released. http://sbn.to/PjnOxt Expect him to be a Jet I guess
That's because James was a full-time starter and Thomas was just a specialty player. And what do you mean 40 times are irrelevant? Do you know something the professional football scouts do not? If so, please fill the rest of us here on your secret to differentiating football speed from 40 yard dash speed.
Make this happen idzik! Would be a great much needed home run hitter/speed demon. Would also help improve my madden game
You do realize when they run these 40s, it's without football gear right? I thought this was pretty obvious. I don't put much stock into 40 times, I do put stock into the 10-yard split. Regardless, Thomas maximized each touch he had with the football. His role if he were drafted by the Jets would be a specialty player. Thomas was their primary weapon.
He averaged 6.2 yards on 96 carries. I would not call that a "primary weapon". James had 7.3 on 250 carries. So who is more explosive?
Well we signed Decker the day after free agency so that was kinda quick although he was in the facility all friggin day and went out to dinner
