Bailey was overrated in his prime, he is far past his prime. Good guy, I wouldn't mind him as a good LR guy but he isn't very good anymore.
what if we moved him to safety? like charles woodson has done. i believe we can get some good production out of him that way. let him play center field and just jump passes.
I have a feeling that Antonio Allen is progressing a lot more than many on here think. We had an obvious chance at paying guys like TJ Ward or Jairus Byrd, but passed up on all of them. This could be the same situation we have at corner, although in this case, Allen has been here longer than Dee Milliner. I think we have something special in Allen. When you have guys like Cromartie and coaches saying he shows signs of being the next Ed Reed, that's really saying something. Many of us may be overlooking how good he may be.
haha..seeing there are 44 players on the roster now making less than 1M a year and that doesn't include any of the 12 draftees what choice does he have but to screw around with the bottom?
Kurt Coleman visiting us...had 93 tackles and 2 int in 2012 but was simply a backup last year. He's only 25 maybe we feel he's got something if he plays in our system. Considering the Eagles need at safety though, not sure
You find some opinions on him on the previous page. It might not be a hearty welcoming. However, this could be one of the guys Idzik will give a chance to compete.
I found this quote to be kinda funny. "I'll be honest and say I don't know a great deal about him, but PFF had him rated as the 60th best safety in 2011 and 85th best in 2012. So I wouldn't get too excited about this one."
im a big fan of allen. shows alot of promise... the pick six on brady was definitely a highlight of the season
Definitely a fan of Allen, as well. He's definitely grown as a player. As I'm not that smart, I thought that Ryan was going to ask Allen (who played the spur) to beef up and play LB (a la Urlacher). Glad with how it's turned out, definitely. On top, I'd rather see him develop than lose reps to Coleman, but that's mostly because I'm a fan of Allen and that homegrown talent thing. If they bring in Coleman to push him, that would work. Along those lines, the Jets could stay put at WR until after the draft. Definitely will be more FA talent available in the post-draft cuts. A lot more. (Also, just a quick reminder: Hill is only 22 years old - he could easily turn it around still.) Sent using Tapatalk
Is it just me or did it seem like a lot of players used the Jets for leverage to get better contracts elsewhere? There were so many reports about us being linked to so and so only to see them sign somewhere else
its probably just because the only team you follow is the Jets so the only free agents you probably look at that aren't high profile are the ones linked to the Jets so its bound to look that way - it is the same for every team.
