The Eagles may have been uneasy with the company Jackson was keeping and this may have gotten to the reporters but it was the reporters who took the next step and brought out the 2009 arrest and the 2 homicides that he was not connected to but was questioned on. It was the story going public which may have been the impetus to jettison Jackson.
Not to mention the fact that the Eagles have Maclin coming back on a dirt cheap contract and there are those who think Maclin was the better receiver before he got hurt, or at least as good.
