You realize every post you keep contradicting yourself? You should just leave this thread now as you are making yourself look very stupid.

I never said he was great and I never said he was horrible... I keep stressing the point that he isn't the player he used to be, and if you think he is going to come here and play like he did in 2009, you are dead wrong.

Johnson would add a playmaking element this offense is lacking. He's still a threat to take it all the way on any given touch.
Defenses have to respect that, which could in turn take some heat off Geno and the receivers.
I also like his approx 40 catches out of the backfield, and it may be time to grow that role as he gets older. We don't have anything like Johnson on our team, unless you are just 'hoping' Goodson gets it together and finally has his break out season. Seems like a lot to bank on, as he's never proven it.

In terms of Johnson being 28, i believe he has a couple good seasons left, especially if he's no longer used as a workhorse.
Not every FA signing needs to be part of a 5 yr plan. The key for the Jets, as it is for most FA's, is to not get involved in much guaranteed money beyond 2 yrs.

WR, CB, and QB are not positions where rookies traditionally step in and perform at high levels.

DL, LB, RB and OL are spots where you more likely have a major impact as a rookie.

That's my major concern about this free agent period. It doesn't bother me that the Jets aren't throwing money around like the Browns or Raiders. My problem is that the major positions of need (WR, CB, S) are historically harder to fill with rookies.

Well I pointed out two examples of you contradicting yourself in back to back posts. First you said Powell is better than very next post you said Johnson was a tad better( which btw is laughable in it's own right)Than you said Johnson sucks which you immediately back tracked from.

You're crazy if you don't think the Titans have been making calls like crazy to try and trade a guy that they will most likely lose for nothing on April 7th. Or vice versa... teams calling the Titans to see how much of a lowball offer they can get away with.

I think he was referring to Manning, not Chris Johnson.

He was referring to our interest in CJ and wondered why we are being linked to guys that are under contract with other teams.

I swear, some people just toss logic to the side so they can carry on with whatever agenda they have.

Just one source, not directly connected but informed says he heard that DeSean Jackson is still very much looking for 9-10 M per year AVG +

Don't see how the Skins afford him..

I mean i get that .. Just seemed like we have interest in signing him as a free agent not trading for him. Just like the djax situation when they said woody was "risking" a tampering fine.

    Signing Decker was the mistake,
Browns should sign him, imagine him and Gordon, plus draft a QB like Bridgewater and Manziel.

that sounds good but CJ had an issue splitting carries with Greene last year.
