Hey, if the Hawks keep losing anything's possible. 2 games back with 10 to play. This is great. It's like watching 2 retarded horses battling for last place.
There is a legitimate chance we lose out with Utah being the only team under .500, but coming at the end of the road trip. Hypothetically ATL goes .500 and loses 6 mores games that means the Knicks have to go 7-3 to tie and then whatever tiebreakers occur. Our best realistic bet is that ATL only wins PHI, CLE, DET and MIL games. That makes 4-8 meaning the Knicks can go 5-5 to tie. Tell me where you see 5 wins, I have an overly pessimistic view right now, but as fairly as I try to look at that stretch, I don't see 5 wins.
Hawks have 2 games in hand, if they win those the Knicks need to gain 4 games on Atlanta to make it in. Chances are way low unless the Hawks just lose out
@ PHX - Loss @ GSW - Loss @ JAZZ - Win vs BK - Win vs Wiz - Loss @ Miami - Loss @ Toronto - Win vs Chicago - Loss @ Brooklyn - Loss vs Toronto - Loss (MAYBE a win if Toronto clinches by this game, and decides to start resting guys).
yeah, so now Knicks are 1.5 back, ATL has one game in hand and the Knicks need to overtake them by at least +1 game to qualify. It's possible but ATL has to keep losing because the Knicks aren't going to win out
Exactly. Its not so much what the Knicks do, more so how Atlanta finishes. This is all actually amusing right now. Only a week ago, Knicks were on a win streak but couldn't close the gap on Atlanta. Knicks lose some games, and all of a sudden they are right back in it.
Haha Hawks lose again. 6 in a row. Knicks need to pull out one of these games. They seem to play up to better teams on occasion so I'm looking for Stats to tear it up tonight as we upset the Warriors.
87-84, Knicks up 3 with 5 seconds left. Do you foul? I think the Knicks should have it in their head and ready to foul once someone has their back to the basket.
Curry went in the air right away, I guess it would've been tough to foul, they didn't want to foul a shooter weird situation there
he didn't shoot, he jumped and then tried to pass it, I believe wondering if he jumped right away so they wouldn't be able to foul
Yeah that's what I meant. It looked like he wanted to shoot it, but a jump pass would be a clever way to avoid a foul. I think he wanted to shoot and for some reason changed his mind.
it's very tough if you're the offensive team in that situation. You pretty much have to try to get it to someone who's in position to put up a 3 immediately because you don't want to give the other team a chance to foul but it's tough to make that happen
