so how do you, in all of your ignorance to how Idzik has spent any day of his life, judge whether Idzik explored it or not?

Well I suggest you start getting ready for some throwing up. If Barr is there at 18 the Jets will pull the plug. I'm very sure of it. And that would be one hell of a smart move. If not hold the anger till round 2, they will very probably go either S,OLB, OG, or CB in the second.

Jackson's not signed on the dotted line. That's how he judges it. Any fan that wants the Jets to go get every free agent that pops up on the radar screen is going to be unhappy with Idzik right now and hopefully for quite a long time to come.

DeSean Jackson would have been the #1 WR last year on about three quarters of the teams in the NFL. That there isn't an open bidding war for his services at this point tells you that something is very wrong with him at the moment. Even more than the Eagles ditching him, the fact that he has to go to the graveyards in Washington and Oakland to get an offer tells you what is up.

Tom Brady has no WR's in New England. Bill Belichik would be sitting on DeSean Jackson's lap right now if he didn't think things were going to blow up big time on DJax this season.

How did you feel last season about the Jets drafting a DT in round 1?

I for one I'm happy as hell that we did not screw around with De Jackson. Quite frankly Idzik did not need any more controversy for the NYJ, as he is systematically trying to clean up the circus reputation given to us by the shitty NYJ media and fueled by some pretty dumb moves in our part. Albeit a valuable asset, Jackson is the type of player that sooner or later will detract from the overall good of the team. No one knows that more than the Eagles. In a team where rapid fire offense is everything, you don't let go of an ace like Jackson unless the downside is awfully strong.

I would only take an OLB if it's BPA otherwise I'm going WR, TE, CB with first 3 picks.

The Jets should be taking BPA as long as it's outside Dline. They are far too stacked at Dline to be taking that but I don't care what position they take as long as it's the best player on the board. The Jets are in an interesting spot. Considering the Dolphins are right behind them and that the OT Zack Martin out of Notre Dame could be sitting there at #18, I could see some teams looking to jump up to their slot and snagging him because he seems to be a lock to go the Dolphins at #19. I could see the Jets trading down and I would love if they can grab an extra second rounder for it. I love Marqise Lee and I would take him at #18 unless they are blown away by a trade offer but Allen Robinson (WR from Penn State) seems like a big time steal in the second or third round.

I'm always for a trade down. If Ebron is there at 18, we will get some offers.

I said he's a fanboy, meaning he thinks Geno is awesome and our franchise savoir. We're all rooting for Geno, but fact is he is neither of those two things. The odds are quite against him being anything great in the NFL. His current skills are severely lacking when judged by NFL quarterbacking standards. Lets see how much his technique improves with this off season and hope for the best but lets not kid ourselves here, he's a project pick.

How do you know he's not our franchise savior? What are you basing these so called "facts" on? Your personal opinion? The jury is still out on Geno as it is on Idzik. If you are basing a guys future on his rookie year than you really are clueless.

I'm really getting sick of these so called "facts" that people keep pushing around.

I think there is a lot of merit to this. To be fair though the pats probably have more motivation to steer clear of anyone mentioned in the same breath of gangs than anyone after the hernandez thing.

I'm basing it on the same reason many of us wanted to stay away from him coming out of college; his terrible technique, his inability to read the defence, and his poor metric scores. all these suggest low chance of NFL success and all his play last year did was reaffirm these flaws. Like I said, he's a project picked for the raw talent. Hopefully he can improve by leaps and bounds but I'm not hanging my hat on it.

Normally I'm all for trading down, but if Ebron is at 18, I'd like to pick him. Jets need a TE and from what I've heard Ebron might be really special.

At this point id be happy with Sidney Rice as the third option forget Dsean Jackson it isn't happening, the Redskins won't let him leave the building

What's it gonna look like on this board next year if all the free agents Idzik passed on had pro bowl years...including Cromartie while we are sitting at 6-10 letting Rex walk, starting from scratch on defense and offense with a new head coach and QB? What will Idzik's plan look like in years 3 and 4? Will he make it to year 5? Doubtful.

If all that happens, it'll be okay. It's apart of the plan.

The thing that I'm worried about too is Mangold and Dbrick are approaching that age ,we drafted them in 2006 those are not gonna be easy holes to fill .I give them 3 more solid years maybe 4 .Mangolds 30 already so is Dbrick

Lol careful your not allowed to voice that concern here, all the board experts are getting alerts to there phone and coordinating attack on you. Haven't you heard? The jets are drafting 12 pro bowl rookies. Nothing to be concerned about.

What's it going to look like when they all have bad years and show they were bad investments? Are either outcome more likely than the other? It's pointless to speculate at this point.

That's about as pointless as speculating about what will happen if all our draft picks become instant starters and we win the SB next year. Then what will people say???

I don't get the fascination with all these "what if" scenarios.
