The idiots bashing idiots are the same people who bashed Tannenbaum for spending to much. Its hilarious, when we have money they complain we aren't spending, when we dont have money, they complain we are in cap hell. The way the cap is setup, the Jets will have to spend 89% of their cap over a 4 year span, thats approximately 534 million over a 4 year span. So going forward, the Jets will have A LOT of money to spend. So why spend it now when: A) Is this team ready for a Super Bowl run this year? B) Are we set at QB? Spend the money when we are ready to make the deep run, the core of this team will be built in the draft. The core is not there yet, the team is still not well-round, when it is, that will be when we add the free agent players that we feel we can use to win it all. Again Idzik will have to spend the money eventually, you cannot hold it back, its aginst the collectively bargained rules.
You just don't get it..there is no such thing as building a core, building for a future..every draftee can and most will walk in 4 years when their rookie deals are done if we are still mired in the same bullshit that we have been for the last 46 years. Pretty much every other team is trying to win now.
I was making a joke but it's not out of the realm of possibility that Marty and Rex are lobbying for Jackson given MMs history with him and the Santonio Holmes trade situation with Rex. Tone Time and all that
And in your eyes he does nothing right. What's the difference? It makes your opinion just as ridiculous as you claim others' to be.
All Jets fans should be pulling for Smith. Any Jets fan that doesn't is a dumbass who would rather be right about a prediction or opinion he had a year ago than for the Jets to have found a QB and be successful. How stupid is that???????? Guess what? Nobody is going to give a rat's ass whether you or anyone else was right about Smith. What we want is for the Jets to win and the best chance the Jets have to win is for Smith, a second round pick who is costing basically nothing at the game's most important position, to develop into a solid starter. This board goes from one ridiculous post to the next.
Not true at all. My problem with him is he seems to work to slow. I understand he got a plan but you sometimes have to adjust your plan when a talented player becomes available. I'm not saying over pay for them but at least explore it.
