I seriously doubt it at this point,it was a great thought for a little while but its not go a happen we should all move on from talking about it
I agree with you but it's all about timing. I think Idzik and the front office know that realistically the Jets chance at contending for their next SB is not in 2014.
Clemons is above replacement level. The reason the Jets collapsed talent-wise is that they had no cheap talented players on the roster. This meant that the overall cap became unhinged over time and they wound up with lots of aging expensive players on the roster. One of the reasons the draft is so important is that it is your *only* source of cheap high-level talent, those being the players you found in the later rounds who are playing like top level players for several years but at bottom-rung salaries.
Goodson can't stay out of jail or stay healthy (cruel maybe) Ivory can't stay healthy. Powell is not sexy enough for the CS after clearly being the best all round back. Actually we cut the best back on roster during pre-season...............
i'd really like chris johnson on our team he can be EXTREMELY effective still if we don't use him a lot. you can't teach 4.24 speed
how much would the jets have to pay CJ2k? 5 million a year at least? maybe front load a larger sum? he's only missed one game in the past 6 seasons, so injuries don't seem to be a thing. he hasn't lived up to another 2k season but is till one of the better running backs in the game, and should be a fine insert to the teams backfield passing game. he's still gonna want a good amount in frequency and honestly still deserves it to a degree, so he won't be cheap. I have no idea what his personality is like, so I don't know if he'll be a good presence or not. he seems worth it, but lets see what Idzik thinks.

Well so would Idzik for vet minimum, but you know the guy is not going to spend the money or resources to go acquire Aaron Rodgers. Idzik is just too slow and plodding to get that kind of deal done.
