When you are thinking about DeSean Jackson ask yourself this question: On a scale of 1 to 10 where 1 is never and 10 is bring it on! How would you rate bringing a player of DeSean Jackson's reputation into a very young locker room that is about to get younger still after a 12 pick draft? I don't care about the gang stuff, because I think that is overblown. I care about the missed meetings.
Not sure about where this gang story came out of. Maybe the Eagles leaked it to cover themselves for releasing him. But it's worth checking out big time. A call to the Eagles and NFL offices is crucial before signing this guy. As far as being a team player and cooperating Mike Vick should know about that so Idzik has to discuss this with him. If he's a me first player don't need him. If there is truth to him being affiliated with a gang then let the Patriots sign him. Since that's their specialty. If he's clear on both counts then I still wouldn't give him anything close to his Eagles deal. Maybe closer to the Vick deal. Don't need the guy there are other good receivers plus depth at that position in draft. We also have a player whose make or break year is upon him in Stephen Hill.
This is the way Idzik thinks. From all indications on Idzik approach he wants to build around young talent and true character players. Questionable character vets are not worthy. The MM wild card is the Big difference for Jackson with Jets

The missed meetings is a shame, he would take advantage of Rex to. His production though cant be denied, but it definitely wouldn't be a positive having him around the younger guys.
