Why would it matter if it's a one-year deal? They have like $30+ million in cap room and aren't going to spend all of it anyway.
But then they still need a CB, S, TE, and G. Signing Jackson means you can focus on those three needs without having to use a high pick on a WR.
If somehow Vick and Marty can convince djax to come here for 9-10 mil and we still keep our picks...genius move
With Vick on the team already, would a Jackson signing severely undercut Geno's standing as starting QB? Should we have legit concern the first time Jackson doesn't get enough catches, he causes a distraction lobbying for Vick?
Its prolly going to be between the Jets, Chiefs, Patriots, and Panthers. Jets have Marty and Vick, Chiefs have Andy Reed, Patriots have no soul, Panthers need a WR.
No excuse if the Jets don't get this guy. He is terrific, they desperately need a WR...Decker alone is not enough.
Makes you wonder. Jackson didn't get crazy on the sideline until a while after Foles took the job, or am I wrong
Remember when everyone is saying Decker is a #2, not a #1? This is one of the few chances they'll have to put a legitimate, elite #1 WR across from him. That takes an enormous amount of pressure off Decker and makes things significantly easier for whoever's playing QB.
This is really true, if you want to get ALOT more out of Decker for the same price, a move like bring in Jackson would do it.
With the allegations against him, I would think the Pats would tread very lightly. How the hell do they have any cap room left anyways?!
Panthers don't want Jackson http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/03/28/source-panthers-have-no-interest-in-desean-jackson/
