Wait, why? We likely wouldn't be getting a wide receiver in the 1st round anyway if we traded for Jackson, so trading down 4 spots isn't the biggest of deals.
your argument is fucking retarded. Lets say Reese is "smarter" than Idzik. Does that mean that every move reese makes or doesn't make is smarter than every move idzik makes or doesn't make? think about what youre sayin. You sound like an asshole. Stephen Hawking is smarter than you. we all agree. If you beat him one day at a game of tic tac toe, is the world now gonna look to you for confirmation on the Big Bang theory or are they gonna stick with the English guy in the wheel chair?
You're like a sitcom character dude, like a not funny Kramer. Do you not see the monstrous difference? I don't think you do, because you keep trying to compare the situations even after quoting a post that spells it out unbelievably clear for you.
Haven't we learned anything from players like this? (Revis) Will we get the right value considering his age ? How much longer will he be effective ? Is this draft not deep with WR? Didn't Trader Mike get roasted for trading away ALL our picks? Our TE/O line/MLB/Secondary doesn't even have not one capable backup and we need to address it with our picks so I say nay. We are gonna spend all this $ on Wr's without knowing if our QB situation is not completely resolved ? Not 1 SB winning team spent big $$$ on WR and I think Decker was a good contract so drafting should be the way to go.
It's not wrong, I didn't say spend big. I said you have to spend. I like the way Idzik has handled FA. Wait out the market and get guys on shorter more team friendly deals that wont kill your cap for future seasons. Guys like Antwan Barnes, Dawan Landry, Mike Vick. I'm all for those types of moves. Every once in a while you'll need to go out and spend to get an Eric Decker if you have a really big hole in a certain area but for the most part what i'm saying is that you just can't build your entire team through the draft. It sounds great in theory, but you do need to add some pieces in FA. I'm not talking about spending big and throwing money all over the place. That's not the way to go about it.
Fair enough. I read your post as "spend big in free agency", which upon re-reading I realize it wasn't. Apologies for my lack of reading comprehension.
All good haha. We basically agree. The point of my previous post was just to point out that we can't just use the money to keep our own and act like thats good enough, cause in reality it's not. We do need to acquire more talent. We can't fool ourselves just because we went 8-8 when nobody thought we would. The number one way to do that is through the draft like you said. I totally agree with that. But your not going to fill all the needs just through the draft. You have to use FA to plug a hole here or there. But spending big and clearing out your cap space in one off season in FA is short sighted.
No you said it. Stop trying to run away from your own unintelligible stupidity. And learn how to spell and punctuate you illiterate! _
Somebody needs to like this dick, he really feels he needs to be in the top 20 "likes" category to garner some self esteem. Can we all help a dooshbag out? "Like" his posts. He'll feel awesome _
This is actually the 1st time if seen the word unintelligible used in an argument. Bravo my good man (Insert English accent). Now is he actually smart with the double negative? Is unintelligible stupidity code for Brilliant! (Insert English Accent a second time).
NO, trading back is not something I would do, I would stay firm, Jackson plays with us or he doesn't, either way I stay put.
Not trying to be a dick, but unintelligible is an actual word, and it's not a double negative. It means hard or impossible to understand.
people need to start accounting for the fact that young, talented players tend to improve with time ... guys like davis, coples, harrison, richardson, milliner, allen, geno, winters, etc. should be better than they were last year ... some of them will be significantly better even as it stands, this team is better on paper than last year due to the strides those young players are making as we speak
Absolutely. It's just a lot easier for others to form their opinion based off transactions. Requires less homework and thinking.
