Boy that was a boring interview. He gave nothing lol. Kay was trying to hit him hard with questions, but Idzik wasn't having any of it. He also made it seem like neither the Jets nor Revis had any interest in a reunion. You could also tell he puts a lot of stress on the draft.
What about another CB in the 1st round? That would be the 3rd first round CB we've drafted in 5 years, but god knows we need it.
I won't be happy with that either...unfortunately that is exactly what I think will happen, CB or maybe a LB which isn't as bad but still kinda sucks given our overwhelming needs in other areas.
This is the answer to your question. I AM ALL IN on Jets drafting Dennard round 1. This guy is a hundred times more impressive than Milliner on tape and actually reminds me of Revis with his extraordinary ball skills shown here. Many think he is better than Gilbert but Gilbert will go higher bc he is "faster". Problem is that Pitt, Balt, and others are hot for Dennard too.
if Dennard is the BPA, we take him. he gets a lot of Revis comparisons in his shut down nature. hopefully he isn't as money hungry as Revis though.
I'd be alright with a WR/CB in the 1st round at this point. Gilbert, Dennard, Cooks, OBJ, and even Lee.
If we can land Dennard in round 1 then I will completely forgive Idzik for messing up our CB sitution in free agency. lol. Dennard will be solid in the NFL on day 1. Not like Milliner, Dennard is technically sound which even scouts said was a big weakness for Milliner as his back pedal and hip turn were messy. Dennard could be the #1Cb day 1, Milliner can take the 2nd wr and pray he got better lol
im going to the draft again this year and if we pick a CB first round your gonna hear me scream "FUCKKKK!" loud as hell. just letting you know ahead of time.
Not sure if this is the appropriate thread, but has there been any word on whether Reed is coming back and in what capacity? (Although there's little in the way of evidence, it would appear that his presence helped out Milliner. Seems like he'd be a great addition to the CS as understudy for a DB Coach gig.)
Honestly Idzik is probably boring people to death in his interviews haha. He seems like the Napoleon Dynamite type.
It seems like from what I hear, Justin Gilbert reminds people of Antonio Cromartie a bit. Fast, good size, fluid, and 6 foot plus. However, he isn't physical or aggressive.
LOL I guess I can understand your confusion since nobody is taking FA and everyone is talking draft but yeah this is the right thread. And no there has been no mention of Reed. Probably has something to do with that shady situation in Houston where he was going from bank to bank withdrawing large sums of cash and then got robbed
