That punt return against the giants was to make sure there was no time left on the clock. I think he said in an interview later. And I don't find it fair to judge a player on one play as a rookie. He's older now, a veteran. I want to reserve judgment until I see instances of recent bad behavior.
He has been asked about that play and he said that he was making sure the clock was at 0 before crossing the line. It wasn't showboating. It's hilarious. The Jets haven't even gotten the guy yet and fans are already looking to slander him. They need somebody to blindly attack without Holmes on the roster.
As others mentioned, he said he wanted to run out the clock vs the Giants, but this is on your others list. EDIT: And the players running on the field, that isn't Desean's fault. They should wait until the play is over to run onto the field
If we did make a trade for Desean Jackson how would u guys feel about this trade? We give up our 1st round #18 and a 5th round pick for Desean Jackson and their 1st round #22 .... Would u guys do it? And do u think the eagles would do it?
Until they make it illegal and they probably will I see nothing wrong with this. I wish the Jets just once would have a receiver that could outrun the defense by 20 yards and do it too.
No chance ,18 to 22 is a pretty big drop in this years draft.Even tho I feel like Ebron is gonna get drafted by the Giants at num 12.Actually if that did happen I would do it I think
I don't think the Eagles would do that. Most people seem to think it would cost a 3rd round pick and maybe another later pick.
Yea it was 100% to run more time down. He's been a model citizen in the last few years. He's had 0 problems with teammates. He's a show off for sure but hes crazy talented. I wouldn't think he'd be a problem in the locker room at all which is most important. I can see why people won't like him but I think he'd be a huge help to our team. Doesn't look like a trade will happen now though.
The idea has been floated around that Dolphins may trade Wallace to Philly for Jackson Here's article I found below
Golden Tate did something similar this year. Didn't hear anyone complaining about his character issues
fuck no, because it isn't necessary. he can be had for a lot less than dropping 4 slots in the first round.
You came up with an awful lot of conclusions out of a couple of snippets from the news and do you really think they are going to get Jackson for less than Decker? I don't think he is going to sign on for $7.25M a year and the only way I see him doing it is on a 1 year deal with a contender, highly unlikely though.
Lol idzik would have to be kidnapped for this to happen. I don't see him ever agreeing to pay that kind of money.
Exactly ... I think I would do it ... Ebron wouldn't be there either way at 18 or 22 ... And obj and cooks would most likely still be there .. Well at least one will ... And one of the top 2 corners and one of the top two safeties would likely be there ... So we would most likely be looking at Cooks, Dennard, Pryor, Obj .... Same people we are considering with 18th pick ... I would do it ... Dnt know if eagles would
