Um yes we do. He is on record calling his teammates telling them that he will be back. Chip Kelley has also told him to work hard and get ready for training camp

We don't know if that is true either. Until he tweets I will be back all of the rest of it is media garbage. In fact we don't even know if he wants to be back, last I heard he wanted a new contract.

And this certainly doesn't sound like the comments of someone who told him he will be back.

    Ian Rapoport ‏@RapSheet 9m
Chip Kelly says he talks with DeSean Jackson 1-on-1 and essentially says he doesn't feel anything reported can't be resolved with the player

Anybody who believes any of this crap is just wishing and hoping.

The media has a story and they're running with it because they have to sell something in the huge gap between the free agent frenzy week and the draft. Give it another week and we'll have Chip Kelly's housekeeper chiming in on what he's really saying and what it really means. Before then we'll have the 'betrayed' DeSean Jackson tweet about how the Eagles are treating him.

All we need now is Ruby Rod to pop in and give us "the ultimate of the ultimate" on the situation.

this is just cruel to djax, they're mentally breaking him down in order for other teams to bite and trade for him. they are using the media against the media, and using chip kelly as that pawn. thats twisted yo

I think the media ran with the story that d-jax was no longer available.

A few days ago we knew he was on the trade block. No arguing that. Then chip and jackson supposedly "made up" but there was no real reason to believe they weren't shopping him anymore. Chip Kelly isn't in charge of those decisions. Like lovie smith saying he thinks revis had a place on their team.

I think this update just confirms the last development was media bs and we're back to where we were a few days ago.

a 4th and a 5th is a good offer for a receiver. who were the last few talented receivers to be traded? Randy Moss, Santonio Holmes, and Anquan Boldin. Moss went for a 4th, Holmes for a 5th, Boldin for a 6th. you just don't get value back at the receiver position, especially if you are looking to dump a malcontent.

    I'd give a 1st for DeSean if he'd sing a 5yr, $8M contract.

Based on what Chip Kelly said yesterday admitting that he talked to Desean and saying that the team will do what's in the best interest of the Eagles you have to think they are looking to trade him. And Chip (or Big Chip as DJ called him) disavowed reports that he didn't get along with Jackson. He said DJ did a good job and bought into his system. To me it looks like they either decided to ask him to take a pay cut (and he refused) or they don't want him around and are trying to get something for him before cutting him. And are trying to put a positive spin on it so teams don't think they're going to cut him anyways (so why give up a pick). Sure if they cut him and he's agreeable to a lower contract (something like the Decker deal or lower) than he's a great option for the Jets. But the guy does look a little like Holmes esp wearing that no. 10 green jersey.

Chip Kelly is talking about Jackson like he's already been traded or cut...

The point is if it was a rookie contract.

As a rookie he spiked the football before crossing the goal line in a nationally televised game. Doesn't get more boneheaded than that. Against the Giants, on the miracle comeback winning TD, rather than crossing the goal line, he pranced along it - faking out the Eagles bench, causing all of the players to run onto the field thinking the play was over. That one wasn't called, but it damn well could have been.

I can't recall another specific instance, but if I watched Eagles games, I'd probably be able to list others. I don't know, I just think he's an idiot, and that's the reason they want him off the team. I'd be worried about that if the jets take him on.
