The Holmes accusations are blown way out of proportion. The only person he had an issue with was Wayne Hunter, and possibly Schotty. Sure he made some mistakes, but he's also made huge plays at the end of games to win. I hope they resign Holmes for really cheap, just to piss the Holmes haters off.
I would love for Holmes to be our #2 . Thats where he belongs thats where he made all his magic throughout his career even with the jets. I been saying this & Im all for this!
Btw, the biggest guy I have a problem with in the entire Sanchez debate is Wayne Hunter. No Schotty, not Sparano, not even the talent or lack of talent around him. Wayne Hunter. And I still held out hopes he'd become an anchor for us. And I agree with you, would welcome back Holmes tomorrow. _
Not true. Sanchez kicked him out of a team meeting for not paying attention and being disruptive. He was benched at the end of that game after fighting with his line. LT had bad comments about him. So did Brandon Moore or Woody I cant remember which it was. http://espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/sto...es-mark-sanchez-clashed-last-week-sources-say
Maybe, but perhaps the Eagles looked at the Percy Harvin trade from last year where Harvin cost a 1st and got a big contract. Maybe they thought they could lure some of the contending teams to shell out a 1st since they already have depth at WR. Of course they would have had interest, but I think the media totally blew up the intensity. I really don't see the Eagles cutting a guy with 1,300 yards of production and some guaranteed money when I KNOW there is a team out there willing to give up a 6th for Jackson. If you're the Eagles, and you really want Jackson gone, you trade him for peanuts just so someone will take on his contract. I think they were hoping for much better value, and when it didn't surface they said he's better off on our team.
Those 3 things were all related. Holmes had a right to be angry at the line. They were abysmal, and pretty much the main reason the team collapsed down the stretch in 2011. Sanchez was horrible as well. Wayne Hunter was awful and Ferguson had his worst season as a Jet. Since that incident Holmes has been exemplary aside from trolling the media on occasion. You are referring to one series of events. Holmes wasn't the reason our 2011 campaign collapsed after being 8-5. Sanchez and the oline were the prime culprits. Look how many turnovers Sanchez had going down the stretch that year. Holmes just let his emotions get the best of him and exploded. It happens. Wanting to win and have an offense that can actually make plays, doesn't make you a selfish player.
Yeah but what about those red contact lenses, what a dick. Oh wait, they were to help his visual acuity? Never mind. _
If he wanted to win, why would he give up at the end of the game? A competitor doesn't give up and pout when things are going badly. He does his best to step up and help the team so they can win. When he was benched did you see him fighting to get back in the game or sit with a "I don't give a fuck" look?
Desean wants to play football. that's the biggest difference between he and Santonio right now. That mother fuckr, Santonio hasn't had his head or heart in the game for 3 fuckin years. Nothing could have been more obvious. Right there, is enough to stop the comparisons for me.
I doubt that's an accurate report. If it is it's coming from somewhere other than the Jets, in other words the Eagles. If a partner I was trading with put my offer out like that I would be hesitant to go back to them and make the deal. Bidding against other bidders is one thing but bidding against yourself is unlikely to produce results.
Doubt he is being traded anyway. I would think a deal would have been struck by now if it was planned. Especially with the owners at the owners meetings.
I think they def want to get rid of him, but cant get what they want for him. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
Well that could explain the sudden "Chip Kelly Phone Call" ,it could just be to presurre instrested teams into giving up the 3rd round pick
